I simply need this mount. Im guessing 25man isnt soloable, think it will in the next expansion? or should I get a group together? I just dont want to go through the pain of seeing it drop and not getting it :(

I'm not sure if it will be solo-able next expansion or not. The thing is that if you want to get a group together in the VERY small chance that it drops if you want it guaranteed to you then you're going to have to shell out a LOT of money for it and I mean a LOT. The people you take will likely want it too and to make sure they will give it to you then you have to make it worth their while. That's a very rare mount, unless you found a group that ran it and would let you "buy" the mount the chances of you getting it in any way other than the normal roll and hope you win it way are slim to none.

If you can save a lockout on your alt and have a friend help you get your hunter that lock out, you can farm him every week! He is soloable by hunters now. This was done by a hunter in 502 gear so lfr gear should be good enough :)

I could do lockout for you, well wait, it has to be 25m right so can't go through 10m then switch to 25 after Sindragosa right?

I know they changed how the icc lockout worked somehow. It was either you can do it 10 man and then switch it to 25 or switch it to heroic on just LK, and not have to do the other bosses heroic first. Thats what I think at least. I'm not sure.

I saw Invincible's Reins in the black market ah a while back. Price when i saw it was around 480k. If you have the gold you can keep a eye out for him there to.
Saw the Ashes of Al'ar mount 4 times so far in the black market ah.

Love to know if this was possible, im sure in my gear I could do it (if I could breeze thro 10m and then switch it). Dunno if i'd have the paitence to do a full 25man >.>

I truly love your optimism Lamp :D

If you read the Video's caption...
205 wipes, 1 kill. A boss fight 5 times longer than Algalon, as unforgiving, although a bit easier on the enrage (if the 'enrage' is getting all Raging Spirits down before Berserk).
…oh and he is one of the best hunter solo artists around.

For me I think it may be some time next expansion that I may be able to solo this... hopefully

yeah, I think next expansion I should beable too, im a pretty good soloer, I soloed a few warbringers and illidan at level 85, not sure if thats anything to be proud of but anywayz, Ill give lich king 10 man normal a shot at soloing first, then a shot at normal heroic.

well for hunters with current normal or heroic gear, and even next tier's lfr gear, that ilvl boost will greatly outgear 502 and HOPEFUL trivialize parts of the encounter making it easier :p Hehe I guess i'm just impatient and want my pony as fast as possible!

Even if they do the ilvl squish it will still be like before. Hitting a mob with 100 health for 10 damage is the same as hitting a mob with 10 heath for 1 damage.

Except it won't be...

The squish was supposed to turn the currently extrapotential ilvl/charlvl ratio into more linear fashion, as seen on vanila and TBC gear. More of a flattening than a squish actually. It won't be about numbers then, it will be about differences in power.

note: this is just an example, ilvls are all aproximates of what you're wearing when attempting raid bosses:

Now:
lvl 60: ilvl 60-80 (C'T drops 88, don't remember what old naxx droped)
lvl 70: ilvl 110-150 (K'J drops 164)
lvl 80: ilvl 240-270 (TLK drops 284)
lvl 85: ilvl 370-390 (DW drops403)
lvl 90: ilvl 480-520-...
so now, if you're gearderd in 520 tot-reps, you tackle TLK with 340ilvls advantage over what you should have been wearing then. That's almost +1.5x more ilvl. That's A LOT. It lets you eat most of the non-%hp damage without worry and do more dps than the entire raid was supposed to do.

Now the squish happens.
Let's say it refits ilvls vanilla-fashion to base lvl +20 ilvls spread on each lvlcap passed. That gives:
lvl 60: 60-80
lvl 70: 90-110
lvl 80: 120-140
lvl 85: 145-165
lvl 90: 170-190
Sudenly, your advantage over TLK shrinks to measly 50ilvl, whis is only one-third over what you're supposed to be wearing. Think soloing Kara in K'J gear. Ouch.

I've seen two ppl on Invincible since re-subscribing last week, and today one person was looking for dps & heals for a group(they mentioned open roll on invincible).

I think some guilds must be doing mount runs, I'd keep my ears open and try link up with a good group.
