That's the thing though, Saturo. I've never, EVER clicked on anything like that before in my entire internet life. The ONLY way I can figure is because at the time I was using a free version of Bit Torrent. That was the only thing different I did at either time, and I was hacked both times I downloaded something via it.

Hmm, could very well be that you visited a suspicious website. Some older webpages use frames to show adds, perhaps the ad was hosted by the same person that ran, say, a goldfarming service. Then pretty much any site could've done it.

Just what I was going to ask. As it so happens, my partner recieved an email just last night telling him there was evidence of selling or trading his account, it was full of official looking links, but when hovered over, all those links lead to very unofficial looking places.

did you actually try to log in? I have a feeling there is nothing wrong with your account...

I did last night. It said it was closed. Funny thing was I had an email saying the same thing about the evidence of selling or trading an account, then when I got the email saying my account was banned, it sure had a bunch of spelling and grammar errors. I deleted all those emails afterwards.

If it's got spelling and grammar issues, it's definitely a fake. If it ever asks you to give them your PW, fake. If you have to click to go somewhere, chances are it's fake. Go to the actual site by hand, not by link.

I'd hate to have to rack a price-y phone bill really high just to talk to someone four states west of me. Ingame chat isn't gonna work either because I just found I need an authenticator code to get in, so email is my best bet to yell at these guys if I have to.

If you're getting a authenticator pop up, hate to say it, you were hacked hun. Send Blizz and email to billing@blizzard.com, that's the address for Billing and Account support, shoot them a line and they should get back to you in no less than 24 hours. Let them know exactly what happened and they'll be able to take off the authenticator and get your account back to you in no time, and anything you've lost on top of that. Just make sure that when you do get it back attach it to a new email address (that is not yahoo, they have been having problems) and make sure you only use it for your battle.net account! Hope this helps, regardless of if you want to take a break try getting your account back. If you do decide to pay again how awful would it be to know that when you do you'll have to buy everything again and start from scratch? Just my two cents. Good luck!

After another report, I've finally come across somebody that may be able to help. However, my account is still beyond my reach. If it's been hacked, just wanna let you know that if you DO see Fionita online, that's not me. If the hacker does something as to leave the guild and other bad things, once I get back in, I'll try to get in again. Being in that guild is the best thing that's ever happened to me, even better than when I made my own guild once.

In my case just Sunday night I got DCed, and when tried to log back on, I got prompted for the authenticator. Ban email came about 6 hours later.

Good luck with it, I was restored by Tuesday, after reporting it Monday.

I'm back from the dead. I was on last night. After everything got restored, I decided on taking no more chances with this so I changed everything and got an authenticator on my cell phone. Fortunately, it seemed nothing really happened to my toons, and as for Fionita, her pets are still there.
