Moila, that is certainly A LOT of work to raise that amount of gold. That is some serious dedication right there! Admittedly that mount really is just stunning and your Lock looks very happy on top of it

I can't believe it. I ran Tempest Keep today on my druid, first time solo'ing it (prior I would 2 man it), and Ashes dropped! I'm still utterly speechless... Though I definitely didn't have that easy of a time getting him. About 40 runs on my hunter, and 17? on my druid. I know people have had far worse luck, but man ... it felt like forever.

I also got a tournament mount (Org. wolf), the brewfest ram (finally!) and Corrupted Hippogryph today ^^ That makes 199 mounts when logged onto my lock - just one more for the dragonhawk!

Even though I wish the reward for 200 mounts was an amazing, armored drake or something truly epic, I really do love this dragonhawk and I can't believe I've managed to achieve this goal.



In a way it's bittersweet though as I loved having something to work towards while getting the mounts I've always adored. Of course, my main reason for collecting mounts is, and always will be, because of the fact I love them (especially those like Flametalon, Ashes, Onyxian Drake, etc.), it was still an added bonus.

Well. I haven't spent a lot of time on the new Isle. >.> But I do have a story. They pulled Huolon and I was down at the Celestial court. I tried to run up to them, but there was no way I was going to get it. My boyfriend taunted Huolon and dragged him halfway down the hill to me so I could get my third tag on the guy...



This was all a few days ago. I did the Serpent rep farm on my DK in 3 hours just so I could ride it on her. He's helping me camp Aeonaxx now.

Just finished my Shaohao rep grind, and what a grind it was. Over a thousand yaungol killed; not to mention I got ganked countless times while farming by censors in raid groups... But it was all worth it in my opinion. It's just such a gorgeous mount and when people see it they know you worked for it. No one can get this mount their first try due to luck, or by ninja'ing. These kind of mounts while a pain to get are always a bit special.

I don't want to think about how many ogres I slaughtered on my (level 70!) paladin (Let's just say all that exp earned me half a level. Eugh.) but not only did I get myself some talbuks but more importantly...

So finally after 206 kills Huolon gave up. Ironically it was the first kill ever on my warlock. I had the other 205 kills on two hunters on different servers to catch more spawns. I told my husband "wouldn't it be funny if she dropped on Faelivrin's first kill?". Then I see the lootwindow and lots of purple in it and one is a cloud serpent symbol! It's like she wanted to come home to my warlock. I will use her as her only flying mount for now!
Such a beauty - I love her to pieces!
(And I'm so relieved I can now finally leave this island when I want without fearing I might miss a spawn. And I can farm all the minipets on the island!)

Finally completed my grind for the white primal raptor I don't know which was worse ... this or the shaohao rep. >< Probably the shaohao. At least I had a chance at eggs and pets, plus I got a ton of leather, all of which made it slightly more bareable.

The raptor grind isn't so bad if you have other things to get too like eggs and pets. I basically used it to get all my raptor colours (did it before runty came out). The most annoying thing was all those bones taking up 10 bag slots >.>

Thank you both; and yeah - the grind wasn't too bad at first. But once I got all three of the primal raptors I lost a bit of motivation. Still, the pets were nice and as I mentioned, got tons of leather to sell.

Anyways, I have another mount now - Huolon finally decided to be nice to me. I'm not sure the exact number of kills as I didn't keep count, nor do I have an addon that tracks it, but I know it was over 100.



I'm so glad to finally be done with that isle. Until, of course, I want to go back for the companion pets...

EDIT: Oh my god. I can't believe it. 10/16/13, 10:25 pm - I just killed Onyxia on my druid and the drake dropped. Just... speechless. One of the mounts I have always wanted and ... wow.

My druid seems to be my good luck charm. I got both brewfest mounts to drop while on her (two rams for that matter), Ashes dropped while on her, a blue drake dropped while on her, and now this. Here's to hoping I still have some luck left for the Azure drake and Kara horse.

EDIT2: And now I finally got Ahoo'ru down for the Brawler's mushan! I am so thrilled I can't even express it in words... Hexos wasn't bad when I got the strat down, nor were the other bosses (despite being a clicker), but Ahoo'ru? Much more difficult than I thought. The mechanics weren't hard, it was just beating the enrage timer. Even when I finished p2 with about 50 seconds left I just struggled - I'd always get him 10% or so yet die to enrage, or actually kill him, but right as enrage was about to kill me so it didn't actually "count". This happened three times - the fourth "kill" is the one where I finally beat it. With only a second or so to spare.



I've never worked so hard for a dang mount and it feels so great to be done.

At 4:00 am server time the moment dailies and dungeons reset I finally got my Headless Horseman's mount as was the case when I got my mount from Huolon told myself after praying to Blizzard RNG gods that it wasn't worth it won't be getting it anytime soon there it was in my pumpkin.
