Why I may call hunter pets not what they really are
I know in the real version and lore of World of Warcraft, Loque'nahak is a male, I have been all over this great world of Azeroth since I started playing back when I made my now 90 Night Elf Death Knight Iowawolf in Wrath of the Lich King. i don't know why but to me Loque makes more sense as a female though during my many journeys throughout these lands I have come across his mate who is bigger than him and resides in Zul Drak so in a sense I know my lore and backstories but this is my World of Warcraft these are my stories I give my characters. So if I call a hunter pet not what it is intended to be it is not I don't know my lore or backstories it's just I am playing the game my way to me that is the best way to play is however you want and whatever way makes you happy.

I don't think, personally, this really needed a topic of it's own. No one is saying you can't have a pet a different gender. This kind of topic can sometimes look like you're lashing out at other members. If someone said something bothersome, you're much better off reporting the offending post to Wain and letting him handle it.

I'm pretty sure i refer to one of my loques as a her (her name is Seishou - the other is Totoro so is a he i guess). I don't think it matters at all

I named mine Ultima, so I guess I view mine as female. She's very special to me.
