Thank you Petopia forums for being a better than WOW forum

I am reading the official forums tonight while camping Moonfang for what she drops so I can give it to my friends and alts and what I am reading just makes me sick there is this topic on how not to get flagged on Timeless Isle and we pve players need a toggle or something so we don't have to always watch our backs if we so choose to use it. This topic has gotten so out of control that it has spiraled into nothing more now than throwing insults at one another it is a shame if you ask me. The WOW community has gone from bad to worse since when I began playing back when Wrath came out also makes me glad for forums like this where we respect one another and don't tolerate that kind of stuff. Thank you to all of you fellow members for this forum being what it is and for not letting us get that bad.

This forum is unusually good for, well, the target audience and average age range In fact there are probably crocheting forums that have more heated arguments than we do.

Every now and then things get heated, but the group really is for the most part pretty awesome. The moderating required is very light. So thank you from me as well

Ah the WoW forums. I know the exact topic you speak of and trust me, I feel ya. The WoW forums have so much drama and heated arguments, it's not even funny.

As Wain said, we get one or two on occasion but 99% of the time, we know how to hold ourselves and show respect. As my teachers taught me, you need to give respect in order to get respected. It's held true. I've had to learn over the years to think and try to emphasize my point while making sure it's in a non-aggressive manner(which sometimes can be a lot easier said than done, believe me).

Another thing I keep in mind now is to pick and choose your battles. Sometimes you're better off not saying anything if someone is trying to instigate. At that point, I just report the offending post and let Wain or Mania handle it from there. They do a great job and keeping everyones panties unbunched. Haha! :3

I'm going to go ahead and add my own appreciation to this one. I have been lurking both the petopian forums and the wow forums since I was fourteen. (nineteen now.) and aside from two or three posts, I have stayed far away from the wow forums and their seething threads of hate. I have to say that petopia is one of the most encouraging, friendly, creative and logical forums I have ever seen and by far the least aggressive mmo forum I have stumbled across. That's Why I have stuck around even after quitting wow. *hugs all around*

i have to thank the awsomeness of hunters for bring me here and kalli videos for showing me that the forums on this site exsist.i new about the site of pets and where to look for them but did not know about the forums.i have been browsing here then the wow forums.i can't remeber the last time i went there.these forums remind me that there are nice players in wow and not all are haters.

Definitely adding my thanks as well! <3 You guys have taught me how to be a better player than I ever would've been on my own (tho I guess some thanks is also due to BRK, tho what he taught me is no longer entirely useful). And I've never seen people so willing to help others in WoW anywhere else, either! I've noticed we tend to spread a lot of tips and tricks for tames, mounts, fights... Pretty much anything! And it's super great.
