Unhatched eggs from scavenging

Unread post by zedxrgal »

I know that you can find eggs from scavenging. However I have more questions that I haven't seen answers to and my searching hasn't been fruitful even on the FR forums.
1) How often are these eggs found?
2) Do you have to meet specific requirements for finding them?
3) Are all the eggs on the AH foundling eggs from scavenging or? ( ) I suspect not since some were VERY expensive.
4) Is it worth it to hunt for parentless eggs or just buying and egg and hatch it and see what comes out???

I'm a little weird in that I as of now am not keeping bred dragons. I suspect because none have really made me go :o  "I need that" or they're SO EXPENSIVE.

I found only one thus far. I'd assume it's a rare chance. I haven't noticed anyone caring about lineage like they do on DC. I'm unsure about the rest.

The eggs are a rare find. Everyone egg is found by scavenging. There isn't really any requirements other than the zone you're scavenging in will always be the type of egg you find; for example fire scavenging = fire egg. What makes these dragons so sought after is that they have no parents. They're thus always gen 1 dragons. This means they can breed with ANY dragon. No worries there about messing up pairs.

Is it worth it is a trickier question. To be honest this could be to each their own. As I've said before there's really only one advantage to it and that's they can breed with anyone.

1) How often are these eggs found?
-Very rarely- generally people can go days and days using all their gather turns by scavenging and still not get an egg. You can also get them via the Coliseum as random drops, but this is even more rare than scavenging!
2) Do you have to meet specific requirements for finding them?
-Nope! Though the element of the egg you get will depend on what area you're scavenging in (plague, ice, etc).
3) Are all the eggs on the AH foundling eggs from scavenging or? ( ) I suspect not since some were VERY expensive.
-You can only get them via scavenging and coli, so yup, they're all from that. Some are more popular than others, though, because of the eye colors. So ice eggs might be more expensive than earth- or the other way around, if more ice eggs are on AH!
4) Is it worth it to hunt for parentless eggs or just buying and egg and hatch it and see what comes out???
-Generally, I'd say look for people selling parentless dragons, or advertise that you're looking to buy them. Hatching eggs can sometimes give you stunning results that sell for a ton, but most often they're pretty ugly and need to be exalted- and with eggs at roughly 30k a pop, that's not always a great investment.
