http://wow.joystiq.com/2013/11/16/games ... ck-friday/GameStop offering 60-day game cards for $5 on Black Friday
Black Friday (November 29th), the traditional beginning of the holiday shopping season, is always packed with sales to lure us away from our computers and into shopping centers. This year's deals at GameStop are particularly tempting for WoW-players -- or those that want to become WoW players. On offer are the World of Warcraft Battle Chest (which includes expansions up to Cataclysm) for $5, Mists of Pandaria for $10, and a 60-day game time card for $5. The former offers are a great deal for anyone looking to get friends into WoW, but the latter is a great deal for any active player -- even if you don't usually use game time cards, the appeal of getting $30 worth of gameplay for $5 is definitely high.
Bear in mind, however, that this information is coming from a leaked Black Friday ad on the site BlackFriday.com and could still change -- so you may want to wait for an official announcement from GameStop before you start camping out in front of your local shop.

Re: $30 worth of gameplay for $5
It makes me reaaaaaly wish I was in the US, for recruit a friend reward addicts, this would take a what would normally cost $20 AU for the game and $40 AU for the game time, and make it maybe $13 AU in total? That mental good!Golden wrote::3On offer are the World of Warcraft Battle Chest (which includes expansions up to Cataclysm) for $5, Mists of Pandaria for $10, and a 60-day game time card for $5

Only thing I am seeing is if you buy a copy of either SC 1 or 2, or wow's MoP you get thirty days free. Am I missing it?

Re: $30 worth of gameplay for $5
As I see it, you could buy the Battle Chest for $5, the time card for another $5, and be covered for creating a new account for RAF. You wouldn't need the MoP expansion I don't think. $10 to get one of the RAF mounts would be a good deal.

Re: $30 worth of gameplay for $5
I don't think they even need to buy a Battlechest.
https://us.battle.net/support/en/articl ... t-a-friend
It says
"Recruit buys... ----- Veteran player receives...
One month of game time ----- One month of free game time
Two months of game time ----- One of eight epic mounts or pets (their choice)"
Nothing about buying any of the Battlechest/xpacks. Has anyone done this already to confirm?
It just says that they get their starter account and buy game time.
So if this is true, then each reward is only $5! I'll have to get them all if this is the case!

Re: $30 worth of gameplay for $5
I could of sworn you saw the 60 day game card for $5, when you hovered over the ad with mouse. I don't see it anymore, but according to the comments on the wow insider
game cards are free with purchase of either Warcraft's Pandaria expansion, or either of the two Starcraft 2 expansions. About a $20 value. True, you save $30 with the free card, but its still no where near what people are expecting because of this article. The only $5 item in the ad is the Warcraft Battle Chest.
