help me kill loque'nahak

unfortunately, and maybe through some sick and twisted humor, blizzard decided to make loque'nahak's pelt the perfect transmog cloak to go with the striker set. I'd really like to get this cloak, but thre are always 5 or 6 hunters on my server trying to tame loque, so I don't want to kill him. So if anyone here is on a low pop server or crz free server that doesn't have many people trying to tame loque, please add me so I can get my pelt and never talk about this again.

haha, you got guts trying to get help killing loque on a hunter taming forum

lol anyways, if you're alliance I know somebody is on a none crz low pop server, if you're horde I guess my server blackhand is ok but it took me 4 days to tame him.

if you're close to or planning to get the legendary cloak, dont do it because cant transmogrify legendaries.

Yeah, that cloak is a really nice one, unfortunately

Good luck on your hunt. Hunting pets isn't just about taming them. Hunting does mean killing sometimes after all. As long as you're not stealing him from someone else and you get first shot in you have every right to kill him.

yep, thats the code I go by, if someone who has been there for 5 minutes and i've been there 6 days then its still abit mean and disrespectful but In my eyes its their's and its fair.

also achievements, yay.

Well, I figured this was a troll post when I saw it. But, I can see why you want to and you're being considerate about it. As much as I love my Loque, I've killed Loque. Once. For the achievement. And the cloak is very nice. I can't help you, since my main server is pretty populated and he's camped at all points whenever I've looked (I check on him when I go looking for the unborn valkyr minipet). But, good luck, and I'm sorry your cloak has to come from him.

In the meantime, you could stalk the AH as well. I've seen it several times on mine, I've even purchased one for my own rogues transmog set. I know it's a longshot, but you might be able to get it easier that way. :3c

well good luck on your hunt cause even for an item i can't bring myself to do any sort of harm to loque or any of the rares even if its for achevement still can't.it gives me horrible back flashes to when they where killed on me namely acroniss.when he does his cower or actualy dies i have the seen of those grefers killing him all week.but thats just me.

I've actually killed Loque twice. Once for the achievement, once for the cloak (for the Striker set, yes; it's genuinely gorgeous with it). Both times were pre-CRZ, though; I highly doubt I'd ever get the chance nowadays! I've even looked for him a couple times, thinking about taming him, and never had any luck.

If I can make a suggestion, make sure you have a skinner out hunting for him. Skinning Loque's body gets you a guaranteed cloak, so even if the luck of the draw gives you the pendant instead of the cloak, you'll still get the pelt that way.

Less of a hassle... except that you have to kill the 'secret boss' in Ulduar in order to complete the quest.

Even nowadays, he's not a solo fight.

Algalon can be hunter soloed since pets can tank him, just keep him in the middle and run around so nothing hits you. To be honest to this day I don't know all the mechanics but if you just unload on him and try to avoid anything scary heading your way it should be a win.

The harder part is slogging through the rest of the quest chain to activate him. Some of the other bosses are more annoying to solo IMO.

Best of luck to OP, I want the Frostbitten achievement but I just don't have the heart to go out to Sholazar to finish off the three I need, when I know there's lots of hunters out there. I really wish they'd either up the spawn rate or exclude them from the achievement.

The cloak is available for 10 man and 25 man.

Note you cannot solo the quest. I been 2 manning 10 man for transmog because you cannot solo thorim since patch 5.2ish. You enter the hallway...get half way and instant death.

So grab a friend and go do the quest. Its a social game after all.

Once you get a halfway good ilvl, it's very doable solo. I did it the first time around 540-ish, poped everything and nuked him in around 20-30 seconds (forget exactly). Used a tenacity spirit beast, myself had normal raid gear on.

Heroic Yor'sahj, that one would require a good ilvl and it's still quite challenging. My own turtle nearly died before each ooze call. (video posted in these forums).
