I'm really late to the party, but these new models look amazing - all of them. I do agree that the male tauren look a bit too cuddly for my taste, but I also realize that this is far from all of the available options. From a strictly model/texture point of view, it's much much better. I also love the body hair on the male dwarves!
And I know some people like the current female worgen, but I've always hated them. The alpha ones were unpolished, but I felt they were much closer to what a worgen should be. And they were closer to their male counterparts. I personally didn't like the hairstyles they had in alpha, they looked like a wolf wearing a wig. I think they did a better job with the new hairstyles, like they're an extension of their manes. So yeah, love the hair, hate the faces. HAAAAAATE! The body is a bit off too, but that's a small matter compared to their god-awful faces. *shudder*
If female trolls end up looking anything like that ToT (is that correct? haven't played WoW in forever) model, I would be ecstatic. She looked much more tribal and...I dunno...more like a troll should be. I personally wish they still hunched like they did in alpha, though. I'm not sure why the males hunch, while the females are as straight as a board and run like they have a rod shoved up their bungholes.
I was one of those who have said that they'd probably never (I try to never say "never") return to WoW, but if it's true that they want to return more to their roots and to Warcraft 1 & 2, and with these new models.....dang, I might just have to come back for a while. Of course I still have my complaints that you out-level zones too quickly and you level too fast and the talent system feels weird (for a player who's been playing since Vanilla).....but I won't go there in this thread.
Overall, I think this expansion sounds like it's heading in the right direction, so I'm interested. That's much more than I could say for MoP.
