Not at all! Unfortunately....the mantis we have in WoW are sentient beings called the Mantid so I wouldn't get your hopes up very high.

Wow that's an amazing mantis!

We have anthropomorphised versions of many beasts that exist in WoW. Bird people, bear people, monkey people etc. So I don't think there'd be a serious clash with the Mantid. But they'd have to make sure they were very distinct. It also may be too soon after the Mantid

Yup, and thus far (excluding the queen) the Mantid ended up being Bipedal making them more humanoid.

If the created a Mantis designed beast and it was a quadruped, it could definitely pull away from the Mantid race. Personally I LOVE the quadruped version, they look so good!

In fact some of the Mantid Concept work had them as quadrupeds

I would LOVE a pet like this! just give me a giant mantis, just tall enough to look over my head. This is by far my favorite kind of bug and I would love to run around with one.
