I've wanted to revisit Kara for years, but I'm also immensely fond of how it is now. Ideally I'd want them to add a new wing (or put in the unfinished crypts or something) so that the original section isn't changed.

True, it could be Kara of 30 years ago, when Medivh was still living in it He's tied to events of that period, after all. Perhaps in the other timeline the Iron Horde uses him much as the Legion did in ours. Or attempts to. Though they're trying to get to NOW, not then.

Actually, if the info in Wowpedia is accurate, the "weakening" in the fabric of Deadwind Pass was created by an explosion of unknown origin and the tower was built by an unknown figure, with Medivh moving in later.

Perhaps we're about to find out why and who!

Ooooo! both your ideas sound really cool Wain. I always wanted to see more of Medivh and learn more about Kara. I got sick of the raid as a 70 since it took so long to clear but I have to admit it was probably one of the nicest and most interesting looking raids.
I doubt they will remove the mount though. After all the rage and negative feedback that took place when they redid ZA I imagine they would leave it alone or give us a new way to get it. But if not, more mounts to collect!

My impression of this alternate timeline is that it only exists on Draenor and we are trying to prevent it from spilling over into our reality. Maybe in some way Karazhan could be another possible point of entry for the Iron Horde that we have to seal.

Again, I really do hope that it involves opening the Crypts.

I really hope it's not a permanent change to Kara. The Last Guardian was and still is my absolute favorite book. Kara is my absolute favorite instance. I was so emotionally torn going through it for the first time and just about every time after that. It pained me SO HARD to kill Moroes... There's so many feels I have for that place, I don't know what I'd do if they remade it and it came out like... *shudder* the Scarlet dungeons, or even worse, Scholomance.....

I'm reeeeeeeeally hoping it'll be a time-warp option given the instability of the area that the players could access by talking to a bronze dragon, or even a blue dragon. Make it its own phased area via NPC and not a permanent overhaul that the players are forced to deal with from then and forever after.

I am definitely all for extentions though! I'd kill to have the crypts opened up, maybe some more secret areas like the bookshelf rooms. The place could use some rarespawns too, if they cant give the chapel some love, then perhaps a rarespawn in there?
