i broke my computer and have been doing v little on fr (because doing things on my phone is TERRIBLE)

It's been posted for weeks. I made the initial post on like Nov. 30th and it's been bumped several times after that, including right before I passed out the names. I'm sorry you missed out this time, but I don't appreciate the posts kind of guilt tripping those of us who did choose to participate because you waited until now to say something. And as Vephriel already said, I'm pretty sure other people will run other events for people to join in. I know there's been a few giveaways floating around and I'm going to see if I can't send everyone here something small for Christmas.

You honestly don't understand. I haven't been around before the thread was posted and by the time I did come back it was after dec 10th. Why end it so soon anyways? Why not wait until its actually christmas? This makes me not wanna give out any present because of this....

Qinni I understand being upset, but there's no need to blame other members of the community. It was an open event, available to all who wished to participate. I get that you unfortunately missed out, but I don't know what to tell you here. It wasn't hidden or secret, it's been up for a generous amount of time, and I don't think that it's ending too soon. Many people will be busy in real life during the actual holidays so having it a few days early will give Tyger a chance to organize this as she's doing it all by herself.

You're free to be bummed out about missing it, but you don't have to take it out on others here. No one is to blame, sometimes we just miss out on things due to circumstances outside our control. There will be other things in the future.

Yea but accusing me of guilt tripping people? I'm hurt. Holidays all around suck for me and I never liked them. This is just one more thing to add to the list.

Qinni, we're really not supposed to be blatantly complaining about Petopia-related things in the rant threads. It's against the rules of the original rant thread, set by Mania, which means it's against the rules of this rant thread as well. And it's not Tyger's fault you missed out. She gave plenty of people a rather large amount of time before handing out names. Other Secret Santas I'm in, both online and off, handed out names much earlier than she did. You didn't join and, regardless of the fact that you weren't online at the time, that's on no one but you. That's why you were accused of guilt tripping; your posts made it sound as though you were blaming Tyger for your inability to join and implied that you wanted it back open and for the names to be switched around so you could join.

My own, personal rant: FR runs so well on my mom's computer it makes me mad. I hope it runs this well on my new one when I get it!

Apparently Gypsy is a bad word...so Willows new name is now FortuneTeller....guess that works oki with the picture and poem... but rather would have her be named Gypsy...

Yeah, I know of a lot of rant and rave Tumblr has about the term "Gypsy" -- most of what I see is because of Pacific Rim, granted, but they've even started getting on about horse breeds with Gypsy in their names :/

I know that slurs and such are bad but there are ways to, y'know, not use the word Gypsy in bad ways...
