Re: Mount Acomplishment Thread

I was out looking for Krush in Sholazar a few days ago (which was successful, but that's another thread, heh) and decided to grab an egg from the Oracles for laughs. I didn't really expect much of it because during Wrath I bought hundreds of the little buggers and got nothing out of it.

Being the first egg I bought since coming back to the game, I suppose it was lucky, because it spit out the Green Proto-Drake. Just in time for me to get Pandaria flying, too. Suffice it to say I was pretty pleased.

Congrats! I didn't manage to get an egg to hatch the mount until Cata. Enjoy your drake, they are such happy mounts!

Grats on the Green Proto! I should be Revered with them when I do their dailies tonight, so will be starting my path on the Green Proto Drake hunt as well.

Second run of EoE: Blue Drake XD

Now to keep going for the Azure, she is by far my favorite of the original drake model. Can't wait to have her to fly around on.

I helped my husband get his Obsi 10 and 25 man drakes. Was already a few weeks ago. They fit so nice with our mogs :)

And my christmas present:
Moila (on the bat) helped my farm warbringers without end (at least it seemed that way) for my last missing direhorn: Amber. Thank you again hun!

Thank you Castile! It got even better today.

I got the last skyshard I was missing for Alani after a really long hard grind. And I killed Alani with my husband. I love this mount. The color is really striking.

And because of my skyshard farm I had earned so much gold I could craft the last JC panther I was missing (excpet for black, but I have to craft the other four again for it).

edit:
the mount day now came to an end with my raf reward. I always wanted to have the zhevra and I finally could fulfil my wish.

No idea why the last pic became so big. I uploaded them all at once. Sorry.

So I got a landro's gift box card from family over Christmas.
I turned it in and received a Nether rocket X-Treme. I have always wanted a rocket mount,so I am quite happy currently.
Also grats Finduilas on the mounts you got, that Alani mount is very cool.

Lately I've been soloing old raids I'd never done before -- it's a neat feeling to have the strength to stand against the major characters of the game on your own, but not really know what they'll do or what to expect on the way to them. I'd solo'd Black Temple and Sunwell Plateau pretty easily over the last week (with the little bonus of the Eredar Twins dropping the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas for me) and tonight I wondered if I was able to take on some of the Wrath raids on my own.

I started first with ten-player Sartherion, who killed me once with my turtle out. I decided it might be better just to out-damage him and push his teeth in, so I swapped out for my spirit beast. This was much more successful, and leaving up the three twilight drakes, I was awarded with the Black Drake mount. Felt pretty good.

That victory made me hungry though, and I decided to try for Malygos as well. Maybe this was a foolhardy choice, but I was drunk on the win in the previous raid so I couldn't be reasoned with. Malygos was a pretty easy fight until the flying section, in which the drake mount couldn't put out the damage I needed to take him down before he caught me. I died twice against him before figuring out a rotation that kept me alive. It was slow going, but finally I got him down. Alexstrasza showed up and offered me the loot for the kill -- and I was knocked out of my chair to see BOTH the Blue and Azure Drakes included! I couldn't believe it.

So, all in all, I guess you could say tonight was a good night.

Okay, so it's no huge accomplishment, but I finally got my Orgrimmar Wolf. Took 200 marks, because I got the Stormwind Steed first thinking it'd turn into the wolf on my horde characters. Nope. Had to do another bunch of dailies, but I'm just happy to finally have it. It's the perfect wolf for my monk!

Gratz Lupis! Thats one of my fav wolves too actually! And the tourny is still a major grind so I think it counts as a big acomplishment! That stuff takes alot more effort (and stamina!) then bowling over some lvl 70 boss over and over again for a rare mount :D

Yesterday I found a raid group for Ulduar 10 man and finally got my last missing achiev (Disarmed) and my rusted Proto Drake. Since my shammy Althaea did the job the pic is with her. I'm now at 195 mounts when on my warlock.
And Lupis, this wolf is really pretty. I should go back to doing the dailies. Only missing a few of the 100 token mounts and the hippogryph.

Today was the reset day on my Sartherion raid I posted about earlier, so I tried my hand at the 25-man version. It took me and one other person in my guild, but we burned him down and now the Twilight Drake is a part of my collection. Looks amazing, probably my favorite of the "classic drake" mounts.

So I decided to go and do an Onyxia run today, and she dropped the drake!
This is one of the mounts I have been wanting for a long time and it was very surprising to see it drop. She is quite the pretty lady drake. :)

Also, grats swordoath on the Twilight drake. He's one of my favorites as well, very nice color scheme on him.

After trying since ToGC when I started playing, across multiple toons, the WoW Gods heard my plea last night:

That is GLORIOUS Poearia! :D

I had a niggling feeling if I came here there'd be a post from someone with a very low drop mount and I was right!

Grats on all the other mounts too! I've actually got nothing to report form myself, thinking about running ICC with a gold reward of 120k if the mount drops. Dunno though, might just level my panda.

Back with another tale of conquest.

Over the past few days, I'd been practice-running the first part of Zul'Aman to learn the ins and outs of the bear run. As I wasn't raiding during the days of the original ZA, and because I left during Cataclysm, I didn't really know much about how the dungeon played out. I fell in love with the original Warbear mount when I saw one by chance a long time ago, and even though the Battle Bear's not quite the same, I still knew I wanted it for my own.

Today myself and a guildmate ran the dungeon as my official bear run, and completed it in more than enough time. I'm ecstatic to have the bear join my mount collection -- and looking at him in game, I think I might actually like him more than the original Warbear.
