I've checked my computer like a million times tonight, because I am so paranoid. So far the only way to detect this virus is upon it's activation and the only way to get rid of it is to reformat your computer.

Just so ya know...it doesn't infect macs cause most people don't have macs. PC by Microsoft dominates the computer market. So hackers aim at the more dominant one cause it will hit more people. Learned that little tidbit in my Intro to Operating Systems class recently.

and yeah, seems the tech team took care of it already...sort of. Still, do the check they suggest to be safe.

Checked with Msinfo and with Malwarebytes. Nothing found. I'm almost completely sure that my Comodo Internet Security would have blocked it anyway from the first time it showed up. It's rock solid protection and it's free.

Actually, COMODO was one of the ones listed that didn't have it listed at first. It was one of the last to get the update. I use COMODO myself cause it's one of the best but I made sure to check the lists that were being made.
