So I have a couple questions for you guys. I plan on working towards crackle for the male. But I dont know what other genes would be good and was wondering what you guys thought.
And also, would anyone be interested in some of the babies?
For Smaug? I have a dragon (female tho) that looks like him based on older works (he didn't seem very red in the movie), with tomato/tomato/gold iri/shim/ub. For yours, I think you'd probably stick to gem bound, preferably one with a golden color. After that, I think maybe iri/shim would be best since I don't really see any of the other genes matching Smaug whatsoever.

All good, figured you were basing it off of the newer version lol. Anyways for main genes, that's kinda up to you. Most don't really fit Smaug to me, especially the new one (we need like a scale gene lol). I would suggest using fire meet tho for the orange eyes! And either UB or GB would work cause his belly was covered in gems.

Smaug is my favorite dragon EVER. I wanted to go with a dragon based off the newer Smaug rather than cartoon Smaug because cartoon Smaug is brown and imperial like. This is mine. He's Blood/Blood/Gold and if he has any genes they'll be iri/shim. He's definitely getting crackled though from the dip he took in gold in the new movie.
He even has fire eyes. I saw a silhouette that looked like a wyvern type dragon for FR. I'm hoping that it is a new breed because if they ever make one then my Smaug will become one. <3

Lovely dragon, but I don't think any dragons will have any other body style like wyvern cause of arm apparel.

Either way it looks more Smaug like in body based on the new dragon from the movie. I wouldn't count out a Wyvern either. They're technically dragons and nothing is saying that FR won't have a Wyvern type breed. They have a Chinese dragon pretty much with imperials.
I was talking about number of limbs tho and arm apparel... wyverns are often dragons yes...but the dragons on this site seem to have a set standard cause of apparel. I doubt we'll see amphiteres either....or lyndwyrms.

I understand Max but never say never, that is my point. To be honest they'd be kinda dumb to steer away from a breed of dragon just because they aren't sure how to incorporate it only having two arms. That'd be a breed that I think many people want or would like to see and would give them an excuse for a more savage looking dragon. That isn't to say the arms couldn't be attached either. More like this, the wings are attached as a wyvern but it has more noticeable hands than a normal wyvern.
Heh yes, I love the double blood. I don't want him too busy because real Smaug obviously wasn't shown with stripes or spots but vivd scales. I'll probably look into an accent like Makoes has for him and then dip em in gold.

Which could still be worked out. They already have apparel overlapping problems and bugs on their current dragons that they haven't fixed. It still isn't that much of a stretch to accomplish.
People create custom skins and sell them on the AH. There are a lot of very interesting ones out there. I was lucky enough to snag the "fishscale" skin for both a male and female guardian for a reasonable price awhile back. You could PM the person I said created it to see if they have any extra's they are willing to sell, or see if they are willing to purchase more skin bundles so they can make more.
