I think you're right about the balls. Or at least they're very similar.
One thing I noticed that is different between the models (despite all the blurriness) is that the one in the WoD video has a large fork at the end of its tail, with the ball sitting in between (watch not only the tail but the shadow on the ground). The PTR / shop one most definitely doesn't have that. It just has a single stump. Unless its lack of one is a graphics glitch.

Actually it's not. We knew about the flying Quilen for MoP by now too.
If this is a store mount (and it fits with the heart of the aspects theory) then I hope we get a really groovy land mount for CE since we're grounded until first patch

What every the CE mount is, (If we get one for WoD, MoP was the 1st time we got a mount, it's not necessarily a given) I highly doubt it will be a flying mount only. However I would highly suspect it would be capable of both ground travel and air travel, not dissimilar to the Quilen or even Heart of the Aspects.

A clefthoof mount would be awesome. I've been campaigning for one of those for ages Their model and skin is almost identical to that of a rhino and there is a rhino mount, so it should be easy.

As for the mount...meh. I'll be glad if it's a store mount (or CE), as I won't be able to buy it and since it's quite an ugly beast, I won't feel bad about being poor for a change.
And from what I've been seeing on the forums some people were able to get the mount before it couldn't be purchased. Also the option only appears on the Illidian server.
They have proper announcements up now, so it's meant to be for sale. So far it's not available on the US servers as far as I can tell. Maybe it requires a restart.

This seriously became a store mount? We just had one, this is pathetic. Also talks about the Iron Horde which isn't even here yet...ug. I think this was a bad move.

Yes, they kinda ruin it a bit. It fits my engineer with this theme, but I think the poor thing has wings, why does it need rockets? It does a cute roll once in a while during flying and also has a nice gliding animation too where it sways from side to side while moving forward.
