I was on Argent Dawn EU yesterday during the morning/day, and again in the evening for an hour but didn't notice them having logged in either. I was keeping a quiet eye on her and will certainly also notify you if I see or speak to her/him/it.

This is extremely disturbing and unsettling, so I don't blame you for feeling weirded out and angry. A homage is one thing, but an exact copy, down to the same pets, names and transmog, is just...I don't have words.

I've seen people try to copy high end raiders/well known players before, usually to try and sneak into guilds and/or scam people (you'd be surprised at the number of "Can I get a ginvite I'm So-and-so's alt" I've seen) but this is just extra creepy since they've gone beyond just copying name, race, class. This is why I'm not a fan of the armory as it is right now... it makes it too easy to stalk people down to the details, IMO.

Someone should make a toon on that server so they can report the name as offensive, Blizz would probably force a name change on them. Even so I guess that ultimately wouldn't change a great deal of the situation...

I don't think they would. They only do that if it is offensive. They'd see that more as trolling or spamming on your part. Because it's not an offensive name and it's not breaking any rules.

If there's a lot of evidence they're copying Veph on purpose(which thus far there is), it's considered harassment and reportable. I'd report them on sight.

I'm fairly doubtful that Blizzard could do much in this case, especially concerning the US/EU realm barrier, but I did open a ticket on the off chance it would do anything.

At this point I'd really just like to have some sort of contact with whoever the impersonator is. I don't know if they'd talk to me, or if they'd even stop, but I feel like it would at least give me some sort of closure because this whole situation has been extremely uncomfortable for me. To be honest I've been trying not to think on it much the past couple of days, and at times I wondered if I was making too big of a deal out of it, but when it became apparent that this person was practically stalking me it's been making my skin crawl.

I can't blame you Veph. It'd make me freak out too. Like if it was just the name, I'd say don't sweat it. But the fact they want beyond that and copied every little tiny detail...that's where it went way over the "okay whatever" line.

Yeah, the name I could see being a completely innocent coincidence. I have some uniquely named toons who have name-clones out there. But.....*shudder* the level to which they take this is far from innocent.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the impersonator contacted me here on the forum last night through PM and proceeded to lie to my face. To be honest I'm still furious about it, though it's simmered down to a weary anger. There's nothing I can do about it.

All I'll say is that the Vephriel on Argent Dawn EU is an imposter and a thief but there's not much I can do about it so that's that.
