The price for my German account is still the same. 20 Euro for a mount. 10 Euro for a minipet. And it was 10 Euro for a mount during sale and 5 for a minipet. So it hasn't changed here. Maybe something with the exchange rate in Australia?

It's always been $27.50 in Australia because of currency conversions.

Nope I got my Sparkle horse for $25 Austrailian. I've never seen a mount for 27 before now. It all depends on how strong our $ is too the Americans and it's been pretty good lately.

After buying the sparkle horse at full price I've never brought any others at full price

The trailer was pretty good but the mount is butt-ugly and the rockets are dumb. I'm skipping this one.

Defiantly has not been. If anything stuff should of been cheaper if we are going on currency conversions as the AUD was actually worth more then the USD for a long time. Its only just now started to slip. I've never paid more than $25 for a mount.

Made the purchase tonight! I'm so pleased with it, the animations are fantastic. It's easily my favourite new mount in a long while. :)

Oh my gosh! Love this mount! Thanks for the pics Veph! Man I really hope they use an unarmored version of this guy for a new-model chimera (tameable!!!) in WoD. -crosses fingers and prays- This guy is just gorgeous.

Oh blast, I got to talk to a few people with the mount in-game and it sounds like it doesn't even have any broken animations. I was hoping that maybe it'd be poorly rigged so I'd have an excuse not to buy it. >.> But no, it seems like it's just a really nice, high quality mount. Rats!

If one head vomits would that make the other head vomit too?

I always ask the serious life changing questions :P

Totally agree, stunning screens shots V!

I'd love to see a non armored version also. I'm guessing that they'd not have the glowing eyes (tends to be an addition when they add heavy armor), but I'm guessing something like this one...

It looks like a pretty grungy creature. I suspect a head would react to vomit the same way a dog would. i.e. it would soon be recycled :P

I used to be sure we'd get the new chimaera model as a tameable pet, but after Kunchong and the new Bloodwing bats, I'm no longer sure. You could argue that the new chimaera would be naught but a well-deserved update to the model to make it look more up-to-date, and you'd be right. But apparently, that doesn't make any difference. It seems like Blizzard would arbitrarily lock some pet models out 'just because'.

Mantid tanks with silithid colossi.
The Armored Bloodwing model for bats. I mean.. hunters have walked around with the same old bat model for 9 years while cats get a new model every expansion. Of course, there is still the possibility that we'll be able to tame those bats in WoD, but I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't, the same way I wouldn't be surprised if the new chimaera model wasn't, despite how much I want them to be tameable.

Same for the boar, but the boar is more mainstream.. I guess. Wolves, cats, boars are those that I feel will be tameable pretty much always or almost always when an updated model rolls around. Apparently, that isn't the case for silithids, and it might not be the case for chimaeras and bats either, as they aren't the 'base' pets either, and not very popular.

Sorry, this might seem like belly-aching, but I stopped being sure of Blizzard making logical decisions when it comes to what pets are tameable and which are not, and I think it's best if all of you do stop assuming it will. Okay, this makes it a bit off-topic, because Spiritbinder said nothing about 'expecting' it, but yeah.. /huddles

(Also WTB new python model, FINALLY? Wasn't it pretty much that the other snake model was too low-quality to fit as a hunter pet when upscaled. Well, then I hope they stick to that and give us them pythons. They look great.)

@Spiritbinder: Oh man, I hope so! I love that concept art.

@Qraljar: Well, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'd like to hope they're going to put in some new model chimeras in game (which I would hope, being the same family, would mean tameable...unless they make it another family o.O). I'm not sure what the kunchong are (new family they just didn't make tameable?), but I don't believe the bloodwing bat design made it into the game? I don't remember seeing bats in pandaria, but I could be wrong. But if they haven't put them in game yet, maybe there's hope? I think they'd make awesome bats for Draenor!

But I do see your point about the more mainstream pets getting the updates first. On one side, I understand it. Hunters get a lot of love in terms of new pets and a variety of models, I guess if you have to choose where to spend time implementing updates it's going to be on the models you feel gets the most use. Which is a shame...because the only reason I don't have a chimera as a hunter pet is because I don't like any of the models. xD

In other words, I'm *hoping*, but I'm not expecting anything specific. Especially when you look at the starter zone video for Frostfire Ridge and you see the old chimera model flying around. ;) But a gal's still gotta hope!

(And YES! I love the python/adder models. I'd love to see snakes moved to tameable. I'd be the first one back on the aisle at 91 to tame one of those bad boys!)
