What five pets are you going to take to Draenor?

I have all my pets, My bestie skoll for DPS, Gem for ressing allys and my Terrorpene to help tank some hard mobs! I have two open slots for new friends I make along the way!

Prolly my Arcturis(Mahkwa) in tenacity, with TypeTwo the blue sporebat. 3 slots for new buddies. Can't wait for Typie to meet his ancestors!

Edit:I mean that in a good way, not in the dying horribly usage!

As I'm actually watching this expansion, and may or may not come back depending on if I like what I see (which is better than the "never" it used to be), I figure I'll reply. ^.^

Tetsusaiga - Echeyakee
I've had him since vanilla when I was a wee hunter, some eight or nine years ago. I did foolishly release him once, but petitioned a GM to get him back, and have vowed that he will never leave my side again. Everrrr. He's my bestest best bud.


Apollyon - King Krush
I bonded with Apollyon during the time that I didn't have Tetsusaiga. He very quickly became my second bestest best bud. I can't go anywhere without him, either.


Naphthali - Razzashi Broodwidow
When I played, sadly I didn't use her as much as I'd have liked. But now they have the thing where you can pick your pet's spec and all that, so chances are very good that she'd go back into a regular pet rotation. Regardless of use, she's still one of my cherished pets.


Shikon - Gondria
She has always been, and probably always will be, my favorite spirit beast. I've had her, released her, had her again, etc., but yet she still manages to worm her way back in. I think she's trying to tell me something.


Vulkoor - Madexx
Back before they had these colors on common mobs, I was desperately trying to get green. I got black. And despite my attempts to hate this black Madexx for not being green, he grew on me. Dang it. He's my tank now, managing to beat out even the mighty Sheldon.


Welp, that leaves me no room to tame anything else in Draenor. Oh well, I've already got my best friends with me.

I'm going to wait and see what comes up before I come back for this expansion. Elder Scrolls online has my attention but they are too hush-hush about it for me to make up my mind yet. If I can get into the wow beta I will have a better idea of what I want.

I always bring Phobos. He was my first tame on my first hunter (not to mention first character ever) and thus always gets first exsploring rights- even if he is kind of outdated looking and I don't use him often. I was once tempted to trade him in for a moonstalker sire, but now I am glad I stuck with my runty kitty, as petopia says they are marked untamable now. He spends most of his time napping and growing fat in my stable. >.>
Requiem is a must of course. the HoT comes in handy and she is a decent tank. After waiting years to have a ghost wolf, I hardly ever let her out of my sight.
Samantha will join me of course. After spending hours trying to tame her with the chain, she quickly became one of my most used pets and I am quite attatched to her. I imagine she would love the chance to ravage save a new world.
From here it would get tricky. I have a blue rune Dragon turtle I am rather fond of but I think I would end up taking Apophis, the color changing scarab as my heavy duty tank. He helped me get my Ashes of Al'ar after all. I saved him just before color changers died out.
Not sure who the last pet would be. I usually keep that third slot open for flexibility. I will probably rotate between Shiftdormu, Shade and shadowsin, as seen in my sig, my "lightish red" crane Dounut Church and Simmons But either Church or Shiftdormu will dominate that slot unless I need to switch buffs.

Just got Terrorpene now named Lavaback on my 85 hunter so he along with Skoll aka Thunderwolf, Fangor will be joining my favorite pet Loque'nahak aka Xenasjewel.

If my character was cut off from his time (Raloth), he'd take his black lion, Pierce, for sure. he's had him since lvl 23 (when Humar was the only black lion). Probably would also take one of his spirit beasts, one of his devilsaurs, his red quilen, and his firey turtle, Shellie.

I'll take my two signature pets, who I do not go anywhere without:

-Fai, my default pet. Hunted this guy for seven months before I got him on my first hunter. Every hunter I level spends a chunk of their time in the Basin looking for him, as all of my hunters have him.

-Also from the baisn, this is my other default pet.

Then I will likely take one of the following as a tank:



Who I pick from the lot would really just depend on my mood (and my transmog set lol).

After that, I may bring my other permie pet, though I don't use him as often as the others while I am in Beast Master Spec.

-Hel, my little buddy. He's been with me since I was able to tame Snarler in Feralas back when I first started playing WoW. He was my default raid pet in WOTLK, as my guild at the time would not allow me to raid in BM and made me play in MM if I wanted to raid.

The last spot I would have open for trying out some new tames, as I always leave 1-2 slots open when exploring a new area.

Hoping for many new pretty pets, I'm taking only my spirit bear, Otso, and leave 4 slots for whatever OOH-SHINY! I encounter
Also, as I did with Pandaria, I plan not to leave Draenor (and probably not use the stables and HS - except for log-out-for-the-day thing) at all untill I cap.

Me two pets will be Sambas and Juice (Naxx beetle). Juice helped me get Silver Tanking in Proving Grounds last night! Love that beetle.

I would be taking only two pets with me so I could befriend some new cuties.
Those two would be my spirit beast bear, she is my tank and heals pet and by far my favorite solo pet and my purple raptor, he is my steady raid companion and buddy. If I had no choice and HAD to take 5 the other three would be my blue saber tigercat, my blue devi-sourus, and a easy to replace pet so I could at least make one new friend while I was there

My orc will take his Durotar tiger Arod for sure and I will probably take his skoll (heal can be handy) and his Chromaggus.

Finduilas will take Hönir (Humar) and Pearl (Ankha)

My Tauren Larkania will take Makah (Shadowclaw) and Njenna (brown devilsaur).

I always have my white widow spider, Restore with him, she's my main pet. The rest I tend to rotate fairly often.

But most likely I'll have...

My polar bear, Ursa Magnus.
My dark grey raptor, Jupitor.
My orange MoP tiger, Tigress.
And then maybe my sporebat, Shimmer.

Vanity pet will absolutely be my siamese kitty, Dittio It's tradition to always explore new places with her out first.

Just me & Cheetaro (in my sig). The rest of the slots are for new pets I find on the way, or in case I come by a rare.

Definitely take Grim, my Grimtotem Spirit Guide with me. He's never left my stable since the day he was tamed.
I'll bring Joxer, the beige T-tops. And the rest will probably be utility. My purple spider, my red turtle from Timeless Isle... and probably an empty spot for whatever new tames may pop up.

Can't wait to see them make their way into the bestiary here on petopia.

I won't be bringing 5. There will be things to tame.

My main will bring Roshanara (Loque), and Lazuli (blue gem quilen). My Tauren will be bringing Taoimah (Magria) and probably Hotah (Spirocula). My orc will be bringing Sunshadow (red demon dog) and Tusk (black boar)
