Let go of Gondria or Arcturis?????????
I have Snort, Cluthmother and King Dred. I'm honestly not wanting to part with ANY. Maybe Clutchmother but I have concerns I'll be right back in the same boat. My vanilla wolf is gone and I'm still missing him dearly.
So release Gondria to tame cursed offspring?
Release Arc?
Release Snort or Clutchmother?
Shut my mouth and attempt to have a little patience for once?
King Dred is not on the chopping block. Not now, not ever.

Re: Let go of Gondria or Arcturis?????????
And I can't particularly stand Arcturis. But this is all my own opinion.
How long have you had Gondria/Arcturis? Which one do you feel more attached to? Do a few instances, maybe run around in the forests and have them attack random beasts, and see which one gives you the fuzzies when it comes running back to you! =3 It's how I usually determine how I feel towards my pets.
And you shouldn't take rarity into consideration when it comes to feelings. =) I know for one I'd have my sweet old Prairie wolf over both my SBs anyday.
I wish you the best of luck with this decision, and whatever you end up doing, the beauty of this game is this; you can always pick up where you left off. =) x
EDIT: Terrible spelling mistakes. xD

Gondria has a firm respawn timer, and due to Arcturis still being 'newish'.. his timer is both wonky, and I'm convinced he has multiple spawn points.
Arcturis seen 3 times in the wild.
Gondria over 20 in the wild.
I'd ditch the tiger over the bear, first. Good luck though!

Arcie has ONE spawnpoint. It's been proven. And the amount of times you've seen either doesn't play into this. When I've been playing, I've seen Loque eight times, while levelling in that zone. I've seen Gondria twice, and both times I tamed her.Phyra wrote:Gondria is 100% more easier to replace than Arcturis.

She should go after which one she likes more, not what you think.

Rarity isn't something that should keep you from taming a pet you really care for. Of course all my pets are rare but I have them for different reasons, namely the thrill of getting them. If you really are thinking about Ruby go and get her, gondria or arcturis will be waiting for you come cata if you want them back.

Gio, my personal opinion is that Arcturis is more rare than Gondria, though I agree that both are more rare than Skoll and Loque. If that is important to you, then I'd say to keep Arc. However! I really agree with what Tyuri and Teigan said, if you're not attached then why hold on to them?

That's fine and that's common sense you get rid of the one you like least.. HOWEVER in terms of easiness to tame, Gondria is considerably more easy in my opinion to tame than Arcturis for a variety of reasons.
I don't understand why you're getting so snippy. Text is hard to decipher, and whether meant or not, it came off that way. She asked for advice --outside the common 'what the heart wants', and I gave my two cents like many folks above.
Everyone has opinions, and that was my thoughts/opinion on the given situation.

To me, it seemed as if you were saying that she should let Gondria go, just because in your experience, she's easier to find. If you were just posting spawntimes, then I apologize. Me misread comments. Me misread comments much.Phyra wrote:Saturo wrote: Arcie has ONE spawnpoint. It's been proven. And the amount of times you've seen either doesn't play into this. Re: Let go of Gondria or Arcturis?????????
I did a test and ran several dungeons with each pet. Gondria was MUCH much faster to attack and seemed to fit my style better. Not to mention everyone who encountered her gave massive compliments and she had the 'wow' factor. Yes Arc got his compliments but not like she did. Also Arcs attacks was ....................... normal. Like every other bear (of course) but seemingly slower even when not in stealth mode. I kind of got that 'eh' feeling when running with him even soloing. As a tank (of course) he's phenom. But overall he's just ok. He's gorgeous but really he feels like every other bear to me. Not the same with Ms Gondria.
So really I may have answered my own question. I guess it's Arc who's going to be released to roam with his bear brethren. I guess I am after all the crazy cat and hyena lady.

I agree with you by the way, I always got way more compliments on Gondria than I have on Skoll or Arc. That being said, though, I just don't like her. For me, it was an easy choice to abandon her when I tamed Skoll.
Tyuri, while I agree with you that it's about the connection, if all else is the same ("I love both these pets equally") knowing the relative ease/difficulty of retaming them helps make the decision. Phyra was simply trying to give Gio more information to help her make her decision. I'd appreciate that kind of info anyway, if I had to make that decision.

I completely understand, but the way Phyra put over her point was very personal, i.e it's what she would do in that situation. It might help her, and it might help you, but just the way she was putting her point across *SEEMED* a little 'this is what you should do because it's what I would do'.Tyuri, while I agree with you that it's about the connection, if all else is the same ("I love both these pets equally") knowing the relative ease/difficulty of retaming them helps make the decision. She cleared it up anyways, and Zed found what needed to be done, so it's fine. =)

Re: Let go of Gondria or Arcturis?????????
I agree, Gio figured out what she wanted to do, which is great. I will say though, she asked for opinions and input, and Phyra's answer was simply "in the light of these observations, this is what I would do." That's exactly the same answer the rest of us gave, just drawing on different facts. I don't see why Phyra's answer is in any way wrong, bossy, or rude. I thought it was helpful.Tyuriwen wrote:I completely understand, but the way Phyra put over her point was very personal, i.e it's what she would do in that situation. But another alternative for you would be to just wait it out till Cata and then you can have your cake and eat it too!
