I'm pretty sure I caught this larva as a secondary to a spirit crab in 5.0. What's even odder, the journal picture shows as beige, but I can only summon it as white or yellow:

I wish I'd taken a screenshot of the one I found just last week (so 5.1 of course).
I tamed a rare primary Dung Beetle in Uldum. During the battle it was light gold in color, and I was excited because I had an uncommon of the same color, so it was exactly the replacement I wanted (yes, I have to have 1 of every color, and that was the only light gold beetle I had at the time).
I went to my journal after taming it. It showed up as black in the journal. But when I summoned it, it would only summon as orange. Disappointed, I released it and ended up taming another rare primary from the same spawn trio, but this one was orange and remained color stable.

So it seems like multi-color pets are even more unpredictable in 5.1. Now I'm paranoid, and will be going back and checking many of my pets. After 5.1 when I was checking to see if I had all the colors, I sometimes just checked the journal pic instead of summoning them to be sure.
I'm revisiting this post, as I'm wondering if there are any more beige Larva at all. When I had a rare spawn as a secondary in a battle, I could only make it show up as either yellow or white.
When checking on your Larva's color, please summon it rather than relying on the color displayed in the journal.
I'm absolutely convinced they only come in white and yellow, now.
I found one as a secondary tonight (and then a bunch more!) and I spent a good 10 mins restarting the fight and they only appeared showed up as yellow or white.
Weird that the model shows up as brown in Wowhead and in the journal!
I'll let the WCP staff know about it anyway. I'd check with Noah but I haven't seen him in a long, long time.
Thanks everyone for checking, and thanks for doing more vigorous testing Wain. I was so happy to finally have found a rare, that I wasn't as thorough as I should have been
I'll see about correcting the wild pet color guide today.
