Shortly after waking up, I knocked my computer tower off the desk. It bounced off a table, two crates of chocolate milk boxes (they don't require refrigeration), and my tv. It landed about 20 inches away on the floor.
The case has a few small dents, the power cord got twisted a little, and the connector pin for my monitor has a screw bent* so hard it tore the plastic. Thankfully I never actually use the damn screws or I'd probably need a new monitor. I checked the insides and found nothing but a little dust. The computer appears to work fine.
I am awake now.

*I'm still trying to figure out how the hell that even got bent.

Same here. Did the event on 10 toons, only missed one day. 5th year without a mount. This frustration adding up to a shitty day at work, pain in my toe, pain in my back and cramps because I have my period and headache. Can someone please bury me?

Whatever's been wrong with my toe has gone on long enough. :/ I'm in no real pain, but for at least a month or two now there's been something... weird with my toe. The same toe that a few years back had an ingrown toenail that died and grew back in really funny. It's still growing steadily back in place (anyone who's had a dead toenail that's grown back knows they grow in really weird looking to start with) but since then it's had non-stop problems. There was something wrong with it late last year and that seemed to get sorted but now the skin around the edge has gone really hard and dry and 'built up'... it's hard to describe. I've tried picking away at it but it seems solidly in place and looks really bizarre underneath. It's not my actual toenail, it's next to the toenail, and whatever's wrong with it doesn't really indicate another ingrown toenail. It sometimes feels a little bruised and sore, particularly if I've been picking at it, but never really that painful.

My main problem is I've always been *very* uncomfortable of people touching my toes so I've been avoiding the doctor. Back when I had the ingrown toenail, they said my toenail might need surgically removed and I PANICKED. I couldn't deal with that. Luckily, that never happened, they let my dead toenail come off itself but it never actually came off properly and kinda stuck to the end of the new toenail and it still looks freaking weird. >.< I can't stand people touching my feet nevermind someone I don't know touching them. :/ I don't know what to dooooooooo.

Snowy - I have to say you should probably hie thyself to the doctor. Even if you hate them. Because you'll hate the results of not going more. If you have the freedom to see specialists, though, you should go to a podiatrist specifically because GPs are great and all but they aren't as likely to correctly diagnose complications. Sucking up going to the doctor is infinitely preferable to potentially losing a toe.

I know, I know... :/ It's just mustering up to the guts to go. What's weird is it's not really *doing* anything. I mean it's weird but... it's not getting worse. It just kinda sits there. This is so very hard to explain. It probably sounds much worse than it is. xD I particular don't like the doctor I have to go to (only available one near to me that's free for students...) because it's a really stupid system. You have to call in, they literally won't see you at the front desk anymore, and tell them your problem and then a doctor will call you back shortly and discuss your problem. They avoid having to make you appointments as much as possible. My last toe problem was diagnosed over the phone, he didn't even get to look at it. Luckily it seemed to be diagnosed correctly as I was prescribed cream to help and it seemed to work almost instantly. But I feel like, in the end up, what's going to completely resolve this is for them to cut away the rest of the toenail and start everything from scratch.

... NO NO NO NO. I just... I can't. They'd literally have to knock me out before I let anything like that happen. I would be *petrified*. Nails being tampered with or pulled off is something I've had a freakish fear of for as long as I can remember. It's not helping my situation any.

I also know fuck all about how doctors work (until I moved away from home I always went to the same one with my mum so I just don't know where to go sometimes or what to do or even what a GP is djfndsjkfs, I don't think I even have a GP) and I panic whenever I have to make appointments. I go to a clinic a friend showed me but that's for more contraceptive needs as it's one of them sexual health clinics. I just don't want some strange man/lady looking at my toe and fiddling with it and then telling me I have toe cancer or whatever. D:

I used to be afraid of needles until I had all my surgeries and now I'm prefectly fine with needles! Think of it that way! I always think it's best to vist a doctor even if you don't like them because it could become something serious at a later date.

I woke up with a strange itchy rash on my back Monday morning and thought some bug had a snack on me. Looked at some bug bite pics last night and my bumps/rash didn't look like any bug bites. Looked at rash pics and saw something that looked almost exactly like mine. Clicked on pic and saw that it was shingles. Oh noooo! Went to the doc today hoping that it was just a bug bite, but it turns out that it is, in fact, shingles. Past couple of days haven't been too bad, just mostly itchy skin. I had heard about pain but mine seemed alright. Well, tonight the pain is kicking in. From the left side of my back around to the left side of my stomach feels like needles all over my skin. This suuuuucks! The dr. gave me some medication for it. It won't cure it, but the hope is that it will at least shorten the duration. Le sigh.

I...really need to vent about this.....now that I'm calming down some.....

Just to give a bit of backstory, I've got a best friend of 19 years to date. We've been through hell and high water and boy lately our friendship has been tested a great deal. She's mentally fragile, very easily manipulated and that came about when a guy online really fucked with her head. Like he convinced her to not go to school for him and got mad at her when she decided to go to school every now and then. He also convinced her she was a slut because an ex previously fingered her(cause that totally makes you a slut, right?). After they broke up, she was a broken shell of a girl I once knew, to the point, she let some guy take advantage of her and take her virginity away cause she just felt numb and didn't care about anything anymore.

Now let's fastforward to the present. BFF is happily married and living on her own with her hubby. I thought they were doing okay. How wrong was I! BFF messaged me during the day about her uncle dying of a heart attack that day and I offered my condolences. It was pretty sudden. I was about to go to bed last night cause I had a final the next morning for English. I randomly got a message from my BFF but it wasn't her...it was her hubby messaging me through her name(to explain, I dont like him so he's blocked on my FB). He messages me, frantic, not sure who to turn to other than me. BFF was hanging out with bad people(one of them being our ex and his slutty gf and Former friend 1) that had been whispering bad things to her and lies, such as if hubby wanted her home, he was suddenly being abusive. She told him she'd be home at 9:30pm.....she didn't get home til 12:45am. Now mind you, I'm confused and unable to do much since she's in Florida and I'm in Virginia. I gave him options but most of them wouldnt work or he didn't wanna do then(primarily calling the police). I also reemed him for failing, in my opinion, as a husband. I flat out asked him "Why the hell do you think she's turning to these bad people when you're supposed to be the other best friend to her? Think about that." I also reemed him for not communicating well enough to her. Now, mind you, I don't like him as is cause I thought he was a control freak at times. He still is but this time he had a reason that was sound: He can't trust her to be on her own and not end up dead in a ditch somewhere because of her mental state. Since she's hanging out with the bad people, I can't blame him. I found out after texting and calling a number I thought was hers that she no longer had a phone because they thought it was smart to share one phone.(I found out cause the dude texted me wrong number. How embarrassing!) So when she did arrive home, I went to bed at 1am.

Fastforward to today....I got ahold of her on FB and sat her ass down to make heads or tails of this whole shebang. Apparently the badpeople have completely convinced her that it was 'normal' and 'okay to hurt and abuse someone or be hurt and be abused. I know...WTF, right? I was in shock. I tried so hard to convince her that it wasn't okay and wasn't normal and these bad people are fucktards and scumbags. It didn't seem to work and it was scaring me. I started shaking and bawling, fearing for her safety and feeling completely helpless to protect her. I made sure to let her know that too. Suddenly her tone changed. She asked me "Wow....you.....you're really that concerned about me?" I was like "Jesus fuck yes! You're my best friend! My sister, even! Of course I care about you! I always have! Your actions don't just hurt you, but it hurts those around you that do love and care about you. You just need to open your eyes and look around to see the people that care...." And she seemed really taken back by it cause she felt no one gave two shits about her well being. For example: a former friend of mine nearly raped her. It started that they were just talking, then the subject went to sex, and suddenly he wanted to fuck her and she said no but he tried to force it. I dont remember what stopped it. I think she eventually stopped it or something, but when she tried to tell people, IE the Bad People, about it....this was the sort of response she got "Well I saw your convo. You guys talked about intercourse so it's okay that he tried to rape you when you told him no. =B". (What a load of bullshit, right?)

So yeah...I'm hoping I got through to her. I told her we can talk through FB or skype for the time being. She is seeing a doctor and even the doctor says she needs a psychologist ASAP. For those of you that took the time to read this, thank you. any opinions or comments are welcomed as well.
