MoP Digital Deluxe Edition retiring

Unread post by Wain »

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/131207 ... e-3-3-2014

Blizzard have announced that the MoP Digital Deluxe Edition is retiring very soon, which will remove one source of the Imperial Quilen mount and beaten-with-a-Pandaren-ugly-stick Lucky Quilen Cub minipet.

You can still get these from Collector's Edition boxed sets, which don't seem horribly expensive on eBay yet, but it's worth noting anyway.

In the announcement, Blizzard did hint that the digital deluxe edition may not be gone for good, but didn't say any more than that. I'm wondering if their long-term strategy may be to release digital deluxe editions all the older xpacs and it'll be back then. That's pure speculation, of course :)

Oh man, I really hope they'll bring back some old CE stuff. I was so crushed I wasn't able to get a hold of a WotLK CE at the time and I've always been sad about not having Frosty. *crossing fingers*

With the TCG retiring as well, the WoW team has a lot of discontinued mounts and pets on their hands. Surely they must be considering what to do with them all? It has me wondering, anyway.

I would not mind them say becoming shop mounts.

Holly poop YES! I need my rhino and rooster mounts, and not at those riddiculus prices they can get them now (it's scary to even think of the future, too). I've already lost hope of seeing them in-game on AH, on the serv I have my gold on (still barely enough for a rhino, mind you, even though I'm saving as much as I can...)

I think the quilen pup is cute, but I have weird taste because I think shrimps and stuff are cute, too. It would be nice if they do bring those mounts back/make them available again.

This! I was so, so sad that didn't know about CE's. I'd have loved to own Frosty or the Netherwhelp. I think they're two of the cutest pets.

And I didn't do the Cataclysm one either.. Sigh ^.^'
