Potential new hunter pets in WoD

I am interested in seeing if the hydras will be included in the new/old draenor. They were there in at least 2 zones I remember and would be a wonderful time to add some new ones

I know hydras have been a huge want by people for ever. Since one of the huge reasons I heard they were not pets was because a designer didn't like them. With the revamp of several models maybe we will get them

Every expansion I'm still holding out hope for Hydras. Maybe this will be the one...*crosses fingers*

I think good candidates for tameable beasts that already exist could be:
Clefthooves
Talbuks
Elekks
Mana Wyrms
Frogs (with the new models they seem pretty feasible)

I'm very curious to see what brand new creatures we'll get though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see hydras, but maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. I think the new snake models also fit on your list, Veph. Man, those death adders were drool worthy!

I would love, love, love to see new chimera models. They have the base with two different mount models, said at blizzcon they have it designed so it we could fight it like a boss, now all I'm begging for is them to dump that chimera model into the wilderness so we can tame it. xD

Guh, yes, those new python models would make me deliriously happy! I'm really leaning on them adding them since we already have serpents, it would only make sense!

I sort of hope that, like with 5.1, we'll have a patch in which some new rares are added to the old world for taming purposes. Pandaria models (like tigers, water striders, devilsaurs and more) and WoD models.

I think that would be wonderful! But realistically, it would probably just be Pandaren models. They usually like to save the shiny new stuff for the shiny new zones.

I'm curious about the larvae and bees! I wonder if "bees" is just the way they translated wasp from French, or if we'll be getting some yellow/black stripey-ness?

To be frank, the larvae model is probably just the MoP silkworm model, because one of those first three videos from the WoD press events had a Dwarf female leveling through Shadowmoon Valley, where you saw the Nether Rays (old model) and Silkworms.

Really hoping clefthoof finally get put in with rhinos! Heck, throw in kodos and mushan too! They have the water strider pets that has two species of animals that are -completely- unrelated! The tripod-things from Outland and actual water striders from Pandaria? Come on, Blizzard! Also, loving that new wolf. Certainly hope there's a spirit beast version of it, if anything keep the same model (and hopefully not transparent or at least only partly transparent like Arcturus or nether drake wings) and give it a wicked skin with eyes glowing brightly enough that the pupils aren't visible, kind of like the ghost bears they have wandering in Krasarang. And maybe the direhorn-book concept can be brought in here too, where the creatures have to be studied in some way before tamed. Maybe find a tome of "Savage/Primal Taming", or maybe give us a spell purely for use on tameable creatures that lets us tranq it and then analyze it, or (less hopefully because it'd be a bit tragic) hunt down a few of them to learn how they act as fighters before taming them.

Wishful thinking here, but perhaps find new beasts that aren't native to Draenor either! The draenei brought ravagers with them to Azeroth accidentally, maybe the same could happen here? And curiously, those eco-domes in Netherstorm seemed to protect Draenor's old natural ecology, and I do recall there being dinosaurs in those too! A devilsaur, even.

P.S. Give us clefthoof mounts, Blizzard.

That's what I was going for, yeah. I figured, it's an orcish worg base model. I can imagine the Frostwolves having legends about the spirit of the Ridge being this elemental creature of ice and flame that only takes the shape of a worg because it's truly the most ferocious and noble of beasts.

Oooh, since the arakkoa seem to be getting more of a spotlight, we can assume lots of new birds! Maybe the kaliri will get a model that shows what they really look like? Spirit beast kaliri?! Yes, please!

I'd love for all the old bird models that use that skeleton (owls, vultures, parrots, etc) to have it updated so the wings don't have that cringe-worthy cardboard look where they literally fold and bend. The eagle ones are much smoother looking while in flight. Though I guess the same could be said for a lot of the Vanilla beast animations, for some reason the parrot wings just bother me a lot.

The toucan is confirmed! Jeremy tweeted confirmation today. I can't provide a link as it's all too difficult from my phone when seated on a plane ready to fly to Auckland. :p. just wanted to confirm it before I left. I'll be back in a week but should have net access daily anyway and will check in.

The "dragonfly" is also confirmed but is now considered to be a "hook wasp". Whether it's going to be classified in the wasp family or not I'm not sure.

I want all the beasts of that world to be updated and more 'not what we have on Azeroth'. Even if it's just a new head on the existing bodies. We just shouldn't be seeing Azeroth creatures on Outland or Draenor Owls, wolves, etc etc
