Class suggestion for WoD Lore

Unread post by Hisae »

Hey guys! Hisae here! :)

I have been thinking about WoD lately and started to think what class would work with the lore of the new expansion? I know that the timeline of WoD is an alternate version of BC and I wondered what you all think would be a fun class to level and that it would fit the lore.

I have a hunter/mage already (Whom I love to pieces! <3) and of the two the mage to me could fit the lore as they have the power to do time travel, right? Hunter I would say a maybe due to with the help of a mage could go back in time.

Just a little idea that I had been wondering about and if this doesn't go here, please move it to the right spot!

Can't wait to read your thoughts and opinions! :)

At this point I'm pretty sure we won't be getting a new class for WOD, however if I had to pick a new class that is based on what we know, it's hard to pick something that does not tread on too many toes of the classes we already have.

A "Time Lord/Warden" class could step a little on Mages toes...?

A "Far Seer" class could step a little on Shamans toes...?

A "Spirit Walker" class could step a little on Shamans toes too...?

A "Blade Master" class could step a little on Warriors toes...?

I'm sure if any of these were introduced, they could be made unique enough to work with enough time and energy put into designing them, but some could end up losing their original feel to try and create the distinction from the classes we already have that are already fairly similar. Also there are many more proposed/wished for classes, but I can't really think of any other "Warlords of Draenor" themed classes to be honest.

I'm sorry! :(

Those are good ideas but I meant of the classes we have now, which would be a good choice to fit the lore of WoD, like when it comes out, I like to think my mage, Yulon, senses the timeline change or senses the strong magic that is of the Bronze dragonflight and gives my huntress, Rinoa Lyon the protection from the effects of time travel and the alternate universe. :D Or Yulon (if I use her when WoD comes out) is sent by the Kirin Tor at Jaina's behest to investigate the strong powers that are needed to open a portal and what not.

Or I might do a third class, just don't know yet. I was wondering what ideas would be good that could work with the new expansion! I do apologize for the confusion! ><

Ohhh sorry about the misinterpretation.

I think there will be PLENTY of tasty fodder for all classes :)
(except monks maybe :P)

At a quick guess......

Warlocks & Guldan

Death Knights & Nerzul

Warriors & Blademasters/Warlords

Shamans & Thrall/Far Seers/Orc Shamans

Hunters & Frostwolf Clan/An entire Savage Planet to Tame!!!

Paladins & Yrel

Priests & Akuma (He was once a high priest of Karabor)

Rogue's & Garonoa

Mages & Timewardens

Druids & .... well I'm not sure about them but I'm sure they will get some love too :)

There will be HEAPS of lore goodies for all classes.

Technically, we're not going back in time. We're sliders, kind of. Ok, I guess the duplicated Draenor isn't as far from the timeline split as we are, but I think of hunter or mage, and hunter would fit better. As I understand it, we're being sent as a 'small' group of heroes to infiltrate Draenor and will be expected to survive on our own (as opposed to MoP where there where was a massive invasion of horde and alliance forces) with help from the natives. The 'feel' of hunters, at least as originally described, is that they're the most self-sufficient class.

But as you will be building a garrison, then you might want someone you think of as more of a leader. I'm going to make a new paladin to play around with, but I'm probably going to stick with my current main three. Or maybe not even three, if there's no flying on Draenor ever, then some classes will be more tedious than others.
