Hunter's Mark removal and Flare up Pandaria beasts.

Unread post by Shinryu Masaki »

It just occured to me that with Hunter's Mark gone, how are we going to keep seeing the Pandaria tracking beasts we use Flare to see? From what I noticed lately they don't even respond to attacks anymore and continue to walk forward out of Flare's range. Hunter's Mark at least gave us a chance to still see them even when they walked out of Flare. Do you think Blizzard will change something about them to make sure they stop running out of Flare? At the very least if they would attack us when we shoot them they would remain in Flare's range. What do you girls and guys think about this?

the invisible beasts and the tracks they leave are retarded anyway, they should just ditch that part instead :P

I disagree, it was one of the better features of MoP. It gave me a reason to use flare again which I hadn't used in ages. The first thing I thought of when it said Mark was being removed was the taming of these beasts. Of course there is also the PvP aspect against Rogues who already are the bane of my PvP experience.

 That's an idea! Give us some throw-able flour bags so we can see those beasts outside of Flare!

I agree with Dan, it was fun to do, felt a lot more hunter-ish, and reduced griefers next to none, since very few people outside of Hunters know about them even today. As for Rogues in PvP, while it's true they are annoying, at least there's one good thing about WoD for us against them:
Rogue
Disarm Trap has been removed.

I disagree entirely-- I found stalking and catching pets this way a lot of fun. And can you please try and use a DIFFERENT term than "retarded"; its offensive to quite a lot of people, along with calling things "Gay". Thank you.

I'm sure that some sort of provision will be made for those challenges so they still work. :)

Agree with Dan here. It was fun and one of the most enjoyable aspects of Mists. Even newbie hunters enjoyed the thrill of the hunt without sitting there and camping for 20hrs.

I never actually used hunter's mark to track them out of flare range. If I managed to lose one, I went back and began hunting tracks again. It's not making it impossible, just harder.
