Lately I've been making the Basin laps and laps around Storm Peaks. Not looking for Krush but Loque and Skoll. Just now hoping to get lucky I fly into the Basin and start my circle for Loque. I get down by one of his main spawn points and my NPC scan goes off. The butterflies and panic mode set in not to mention the extreme excitement. I look over the hill and there he is. Dead. Had to have happened right before I got there. Time of death 10:00 - 10:01 server time. I guess that's the breaks. Still really heart breaking for me.

Wish I would have been pst-ed. I saw a warrior flying pretty close by on his way out. Didn't think anything of it really till after. He had to have just killed him right before I flew up and took off quickly. CURSE YOU!!!
I skinned Loque in the sad hopes it will make his spawn timer faster. I will be hanging in the Basin for a good long while to hopefully get a good spawn timer. Hopefully I get to him before someone else does if anything to see him ALIVE in the wild for the first time.
Thats so sad I'm so sorry.. I had all spirit beasts at one point and the only one I kept was Loque - I bonded with that cat like none other.. I;m debating going for Gondria again.. I am an insane cat lover and shes been calling me back since I let her go.. But Loque will NEVER leave my side I love him too much. Keep at it - when ya think you'll never get em ya will trust me on that one!

I checked back at 02:00 AM server time exactly four hours from time of death and nothing. Even asking if he'd been seen but oddly there was only one other person in the Basin who said they'd been there over an hour hoping Krush would spawn and nothing. Went back to my camping spot.
Checked again at 03:00 AM server time. Still nothing.
Last check before going to bed was at 4:00 AM server time. Flew around 20 minutes. Asked again. No replies. Saw a lvl 80 hunter who appeared to be farming. I pst-ed her and asked if she was camping for Loque since she was right at a spawn point. No reply. I flew away checking the other spawn points making my circle and then decided to be really nice and let her know that if she happens to be camping for Loque that he was killed at 10:02 PM server time and he has a 10 hour spawn time at max. She left the basin five minutes later. I also saw a level 80 warlock in the south west of the basin on his protodrake. He saw me and left a few minutes later. I made one last lap and then logged off.
I will check again in the morning and see what may happen. If nothing I'll check back at exactly 10 hours and see if I get lucky and see him alive.

I've seen him five times, and only killed him just a few days ago. The first time I tamed him, the other three times I gave him away to others, and, at long last, the only hunters in the basin was me and two bots. I could finally add him to my list.

Haha I hear you on that one! I had the same problem but ended up killing because no other hunter was on or wanted him. Now I always check, and actually when I tamed him this morning my bro was ticked off because he wanted loque for the acheivement lol but didnt have the heart to kill him or let him be killed.

Actually, Saturday morning, here I am, about to do my Krush rounds, (Yeah...Finally got sucked into the Krush hunt. There's a hunter joke for you: What do you get when a hunter has to much time on her hands? A huge urge to tame one of the most difficult pets out there solo. >.>), and I'm doing my rounds, when suddenly, Hi there Loque! It's early, so no hunter is a bout. I ask non existent guildies, general for a hunter alt, even my RP channel...Nothing. No one. I sit there, watching him with one of the druids who came to see him. And a pally, on his frostwyrm, lands and kills Loque in a flurry of shiny.
I skinned him after. Wasn't right to just leave him there.
Why me??? I've made my rounds on the hour and nothing. I guess that's the price I have to pay for being on pretty close to the busiest server in the game. I'm not sure if I'm on the wrong timers or I'm just missing him by mere minutes. Regardless I will keep the vigil. Although I may be giving up this hunt if I am ready for The Beast.
I have another technique for you, and it got me Loque in a day, and I've seen him twice, and another hunter caught him there. Essentially, you camp there, at the spot where you found dead Loque, and log on every hour to check. Not there? Move on. You don't get burned out that much, and it's less stressful. He'll spawn there eventually. It's essentially what I'm doing for Krush, hovering at Glimmering Pillar.
Not a 'good' update. After camping 3 hours yesterday morning and then camping more then 8 hours last night (straight) and camping again another four hours this morning still nothing. I'm sorry to 'bump', so to speak but I'm really tired and beginning to lose hope. On the 8.75 hour run I fell asleep and went afk and was logged out. Ugh. I tried to make it the full 10 hours but it just didn't happen. I had company for a while and spoke to a fellow hunter who was camping in another spot. He was really nice and we made the agreement that if one of tamed Loque we'd let the other know. He logged off long before I and was even talking of doing the server switch trick. I'd been camping longer but felt more then empathetic and even had crossed my mind that if Loque had spawned I may let him have him. Crazy I know.
I took several screen shots of my time camping to break up the monotony and was having fun like doing the hokey pokey while mounted. Ah the games I came up with. I'll post them up tonight (not on the computer the screenshots are saved on) before I start another long night of camping and hope to make the full 10 hours OR get really lucky and catch him. Or even have someone be polite and say when they tamed /killed him.
Last night was interesting to say the least with the constant fly overs and stalkers. Horde players were the worst (no offense). They were like fleas. Some would dive down and wait and watch then see me and take off. I had a few brazen Horde who actually would sit and camp either right next to me or very close by. What f-ers they were. They didn't last long but to me that really wasn't the point. One was a level 76 orc hunter who would fly in on her protodrake slay anything in the area then wait, wait a bit more and fly away. She was in PvP status so a few times I threw a hunters mark on her or the skull raid mark. She promptly left and didn't return. Alliance would do the same fly overs but when I was spotted they left and maybe returned once but did not stay.
I even got P Dawg in on the camping just in case his powers worked with other cats. But alas. Nothing. Lucky map is open upon log in and while camping.
Alas I shall return to my vigil again tonight. Either that or I will give up on Loque and work on getting the Beast or start camping for Skoll. Strangely I think Skoll is going to be a lot easier to get. Hopefully my next report will be a happy one. Pictures to come tonight.
