Re: Azerothian Choppers - The winner is.....
There actually isn't a whole lot of drama in those, much, at least past the first episode or two while they shake down the contestants and you figure out who's the one with the insufferable personality problems... (they rarely last 3 eps as far as I've seen.)
FaceOff also had 'foundation challenges' which I enjoyed seeing; making the most of limited materials and REALLY limited time. But yeah, I usually watched their techniques. I wish they'd show MORE of them working but I suspect most of the people watching really aren't there for a casting tutorial.

Re: Azerothian Choppers - The winner is.....
It's been a few days now since the last episode was shown, but I didn't quite have the right words yet to say what I wanted, so here goes.
To be quite honest, some people are crying for nothing. However, I can completely understand why some others aren't happy with the situation. This whole event had a few problems that should have NEVER happened.
1: No Battle Net account was required to vote.
This was most likely the stupidest thing they did. They said the players voted, but some people on the Blizzard site confirmed that they asked people outside of WoW, some who didn't even knew what the game was, to vote for one of the bikes. Not good and shouldn't have happened.
2: Some people voted multiple times by changing their IP and clearing their browser's cache and cookies, even used different browsers.
Again, something that shouldn't have happened. Some people even said they used some form of botting programs that did all that work for them. A little bit more security should have been used to prevent this type of thing.
3: No clear numbers of voters or even clear percentage was shown.
This one isn't too bad honestly, but it still looks quite fishy. Some people won't care about it, some will. Personally I would have liked to see the exact numbers of voters around the globe. We could make a guess about the percentage of votes going by the meters that was shown, but it still wasn't really clear what the exact % of votes was.
So yeah, it's understandable that some people are mad, because no matter which faction we play, it's hard to say that nothing was wrong with this event. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that the people working for Blizzard are incompetent, it's just that at times it looks like they don't think everything through, and basically have too much faith in the players to be honest and good, which we know not all of them are.
People are people, and when ever something can be exploited shows up, some will abuse it to no end. It's sad that the people at Blizzard try to do something nice for their players, but basically end up shooting themselves in the foot.
As for the bikes, I won't lie, I did vote for the Alliance one, because I'm really not a fan of trikes. I do have the Goblin ones, but it's just for upping my mount count for the achievements. In the end it didn't matter to me which one won since I play both sides, and I'll enjoy the trike when I play my Horde characters. It does look a LOT better than the Goblin ones, and it also does represent the faction more than the Alliance one did. Though being Canadian probably made me like the snowmobile look more than other people. I used to have one before too.
Anyway, sorry for the long rant, but I felt like it needed to be said. Hopefully next time Blizzard makes an event similar to this they won't repeat the same mistake that was done for this one.

they'll probably end up putting both bikes out there anyways in game ~ hopefully the complaints blizz has received will route them down that path.

I'll admit, I was pretty surprised that they didn't require people to log into battlenet to vote. Hearing that it was IP/browser-based came as a surprise as well. Requiring a battlenet login would've eliminated some of the complaints people had about the process and probably most of the voting abuse.
I was also disappointed that percentages weren't ever given. I kind of skipped through the announcement video to see the vote results and couldn't believe all they showed were flashing blue and red dots and some fuzzy bars on the side. I was, and still am, curious as to how which bike got the most votes in each region and by how great a margin. The lack of clarity is kind of disturbing.
I voted for the Horde bike, considering it the lesser of two evils. Yet I still want to call shenanigans over the voting process.
I know it sounds cynical, but I just kind of think the whole thing was done so that the big names at Blizzard could have some neat grownup toys to play with for a while.

ive been on alliance for a while, tho ive voted for horde.. i dont want a giant metal bug for a mount tbh..
