I'm actually a tiny bit disappointed with this mount as a ground mount.

The art is beautiful, and the flying animation is striking, but because it uses the Windsteed skeleton it runs like a bucking goat. Don't get me wrong, I love the windsteed and use it on my hunter all the time. But on a horse it seems a little strange, like it was just stung on the arse by a bee.

Sadly I have to agree with you there. I used it for the first time today when someone in a BG dropped the hitch. I knew the windsteed had an...interesting run animation, but it never looked bad to me really. On the Warforged, however, it just looks terrible from behind! I'm sure it's fine as a flying mount, but I don't think I could stand using it on the ground having to stare at that wonky animation.

It does move more like a dog than a horse. I just figure that's because it's a robot. Heck, it looks like something one of Soundwave's cassettes would transform into.

Well it is mechanical, so I guess the blacksmiths that made them probably messed up the ground run animation protocol when they created it.
