BOARD UPDATE

I just updated the board software tonight.

So far it seems to be working fine, but please report any glitches to me!

One thing so far: the link to Petopia I added at the top of the forum is now missing. I'll try to add that back in a way that it won't be destroyed with the next update this time.

The subjects seem to be missing on the main page. Like the one where it shows when someone's replied to a topic.

Hey Wain. After the maintenance I noticed a few things straight off. I use the "petopia" board skin and saw that the titles were coming up twice.

I went to check the other skins to see if the case was the same there. I received this error when I tried to use the "Lucid Lime" skin:

"Prosilver" works, again with double-titles but a lot less cluttered than on "petopia".

After swapping around I'm now getting the same error trying to set back to "petopia".

Thanks for the reports! Unfortunately with the update I had some problems with the "last topic" mod and was just re-configuring it tonight. I'm hoping all the themes are fixed now! Please let me know if they aren't.

to me when i click a new post topic (like this one) it leads to page 1 instead of the last page...

it just corrected it self and went back to going to the last page... comfuzzled!

I'm seeing a new eyeglass over my sig and a few others. None of them violate the size restrictions. Is there anyway to get rid of that? It's really annoying to see.

It'd be great ONLY if it'd resize the sigs that went about 300x800. It's affecting all sigs, therefore not great. Makes them look scrunched. So far it's affecting all my WoW ones, which none are above 300x800. I don't like seeing them all blurry like a terrible photoshop crop.

Example: Yours is way bigger than most of mine in height, but yours doesn't get forced to be smaller, yet mine do.

Please fix this Wain. Pretty please?

It's bugging me to no end. It's also borking with the rotating signatures like mine.

I was referring to the feature in general though, especially when it comes to inserting images into threads.

It's brand new, I'm sure Wain will get the signatures sorted out at some point. Mine's actually the same height as yours, the transparency in yours just makes them appear shorter. It seems to be more of a width than height thing, but I can't offer any insight to it.

Oh well the feature, yes! That's fantastic! (I should see if it works in threads. I haven't seen it yet).

From what I'm seeing, it's working on the width, not the height. Cause some of my more bigger sigs in height are fine but my custom made WoW ones are getting forced to an ugly resize.

Edit: Hehe. You edited the same thing I said. XD and sorry, just panicked a little cause the people that made these don't come here anymore or don't make them so I dont wanna have these sigs just tossed away.

That's because I found the cause very quickly (a setting that had reset during the update) but was too tired to post last night

Sorry about the image sizing issues. I did post about this in one of the threads but I hadn't here.

Even though I installed the mod, apparently its settings are restricted to only Mania, so I can't adjust the size parameters (!). Mania is currently sorting that out for me, so then I'll hopefully be able to set the sizes to something more reasonable. Until that happens, sorry

Once it's working properly it seems it'll be an ideal solution.

Okie Wain. I'll just have to deal with it in the meantime. A bit weird that it's like "Hey you installed the mod but you can't do anything with it". What sense does that make? XD

OK, I have access now and have set the image limits (before it resizes) to 800x600. That seems reasonable but am open to suggestions.

Unfortunately, now that I can see the preferences, it has no option for a separate (smaller) limit for signature images! So it's effectively useless for those. Will look at other options, but at least it's working nicely for page images. Please let me know of any issues.
