Could someone check the bonus spider boss in the new Everbloom dungeon? her name is Xeri'tac

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
As much as I love the Toucan Sam.... I *REALLY* like the new coloring on these, I have to say. I don't know that I'd tame one, since I have my Olm, but i fthey *do* make a 'tropical birds' group or something, then hell yes, I'd consider it.
Come see Kurasu's stables!
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
It isn't tamable - and did not seem like a new skin - its green - and spawns smaller green spiders. The small ones were also unable to be tamed. I think she was normal green spider skin - I guess I should have screened her also when I went back in to snap shots of the green wasps.PorrasouxRex wrote:Could someone check the bonus spider boss in the new Everbloom dungeon? her name is Xeri'tac
To note though - if you haven't done the dungeon yet - you might want to - last boss dropped the first legendary item I've seen in game - was a quest item I think - might as well grab it now though if your gonna test out whatever it ends up part of.
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I think the air familiar is a new model, you can see it on wowhead. I hope a tameable version makes it in (sans armor even). They make better raven than the crooked neck or eared versions we have now.

Dunno if someone already tried this or not, didn't see anywhere, but I don't have a Twitter and thus no idea how to use it. Could someone ask if they're at all considering the armored troll bears, like from Zul'Aman or Throne of Thunder?

Yeah in the end i doubt it will stay but its a shame.Bendak wrote:I'm not holding my breath for the sea serpent staying in. Wouldn't complain but don't get your hopes up. It clips through the ground right now which makes me think it wasn't intentional. Maybe it wouldn't if they shrank it.
There are so many wonderfull sharks/eel/fish models that would make very neat looking pets if they would just magic up a floating bubble for em like the many minipets and The Talking Fish <.<
While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

They changed the red toucan as well, it just to had a bloody beak. Remember in MoP beta, pink cranes were common, then they were suddenly changed and that color became a rare, so maybe same with toucan.

Anyone test, or have the ability to test this guy in the Greenstone Village? He's lvl 92 so...

Agreed.Myzou wrote:Anyone else wish they'd make a "Tropical Bird" family?
The Toucans and Parrots added to it? Bird of Prey is getting really big. :/

Personally, I disagree. The more variety in a family, the better.
Kunchong for hunter pets!
Thanks to Moonlost for the awesome avatar!
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I think it's pretty obvious that they didn't change the Toucan Sam because of trademark reasons. They changed it in light of Germany winning the World Cup.

Main thing in this set are the raptors I mentioned earlier...I think they fit the jungle well!

Outland Talbuk
The Draenor Talbuks aren't tamable as of yet. At least none that I have checked were.
Outland Banthar
I kept trying to find the Draenor Banthar after they became tamable, and couldn't find him. Probably every other hunter on at the time were camping him I'm guessing.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I actually prefer the new blue toucan as well! It's just that I think it's sad they couldn't keep both for the sake of variety. The same goes for the blue and green direhorn skins they replaced, there would be some that would have appreciated the other colour more. But it really was close to a certain trademark and I'm assuming they really couldn't. I'd be curious to know if that's the case.
And yeah, like Kurasu I kinda like the idea of a "jungle bird" family of tropical screamers. Maybe with a stunning scream or silencing scream or something. Between parrots and axebeaks the family would certainly be large enough to be viable.
Oh and thanks Quivering. I hadn't noticed the red skin had changed as well. I'll check it out tonight.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy there's a pink pet But I'm kind of surprised there's no pink Sporebat or Toucan. Seemed like prime candidates.
But like I said, one pink pet in the moth (provided it becomes tameable) is fine. I live for the new pink pets.

I really hope things like this stay tameable. I absolutely love beasts with accessories. Tamed Kung Din with his chain on my troll and I LOVE him so much.Wain wrote:I don't think anyone's reported it yet, but the vignette mob Giantbane in FFR is tameable. As a result you get a dark clefthoof with a cool, spiky saddle. Also some very pissed off NPCs that were riding him, but they were all bad anyway.
Not sure if it's intentional but hopefully it is. It can't hurt, really.
