Portent phased out for boosted hunters?

So trying to find Portent on a boosted hunter, and I caught his tracks once in one part of the vale, but the tracks went away, and couldn't find them again. Spent an hour looking. I'm wondering if there a big chunk of his path that's phased out for boosted toons that never saw the Vale pre-Valeaclysm.

Seems that either someone else got him, or there's a big chunk of his path that's phased, and I didn't see another hunter around.

Anyone get him on a boost?

Ok.. to answer my own question.. finally caught the path again. the north section of the vale still might be phased, and that was why I lost him for so long. Not sure. But was able to follow him for a good portion of the southern half and finally got him.

I helped a boosted the other day get him. That rare moves fast very very fast. I have trouble finding him every time but they made it so that a hunter has to show him with his/her own flare doesn't show up from anothers even with hunters mark. But it's good to know you got him, a great looking pet I only wish I liked BM to use him more often.

As someone who's boosted a hunter recently, I had no phasing issues with tracking portent at all. Portent pats through the scarred ares which makes it really hard to see where he's going. I lost him a couple times myself through all that black, he pats right up through the middle of it, cutting across the widest area. If I recall right, the gate to the vale was already opened for me when I boosted. Nothing there seems to be phased for Xanbu.

Could always do the quests if you want to "unlock" his path if your having trouble to follow it? Though from my experience I've not really struggled too much following it on my boosted.

They do. They never removed any quests.
