wish there was more in game kind of hints. The only way we have figured out stuff so far is by looking at what was added in the patch, and speculation. They could've maybe put a readable book near the grave telling us the history of what happened or something similar.

Quick update: I went to Talador to check things out since thats the only place I haven't checked. I walked into the Court of Souls and got a debuff called "Enroaching Darkness", the tooltip says: "Something is watching you..."

Any info on that?

Okay I've been doing a little digging with the lore that we do have -- it's dinnertime right now (and Outlander is on tonight!) but I'll be thinkthinkthinking more stil, til we have this finished!

Xan is a Void God. Mother Om'ra said as much. Well, there are 3 others:

Entropius, Sunwell Plateau
Void Lord, Halls of Origination
Decimatus, Oshu'gun

There are three Dimensional Portal Doors too - all in old Outland though:
At the Portal Clearing on the shores of Marshlight Lake in western Zangarmarsh. (Not currently functional)
At Twilight Ridge in western Nagrand. (Not currently functional)
At Death's Door east of Thunderlord Stronghold in the Blade's Edge Mountains. (Functional, but not open)

And the biggest bit yet:

The Lanterns are from Voidcallers -
"Voidcallers are a type of voidwalker that look to be draped in old, rotting cloth.[1] Voidcallers are spell-casting voidwalkers. They carry over their draped shoulders two lanterns that bridge the realm of the living and the dead.[2] These lanterns hang from a glowing crystal-like structure that strongly resembles parts of a naaru. Voidcallers' specific relationship with naaru is unclear; in exceedingly rare cases, the naaru are known to fall into a void state.[3]"

So, there is no harm in trying these places. I'll be popping in later.

To add on to that, Draenor is just a pre-corrupted Outlands is it not? We could also technically check where those places would be in this time line. For example, Blades Edge is more or less Gorgrond, Nagrand is Nagrand, and Zang...well thats out of the question at this moment. No harm in checking both timelines for this, as the Twisting Nether is an area on its own so we can't really be sure what goes on in there.

Edit: There are void gates south of Auchindoun, gonna check there really quick.

I've already run through Oshu'gun in Draenor, nothing jumped out at me.

Just finished Sunwell, nothing of note (not surprising unfortunately) but then: THIS HAPPENED

Seriously?! I mean I've already got it after like 23907429308 runs, and it drops first time on beta -_-

digging my self and found this http://wod.wowhead.com/item=119433 i have kinda the same i got from killing a rare but it was fire, so any ideas what rare? i can kill all rares so just point me i a direction

But the Draenor that is outlands is from a different timeline than this Draenor. It's more likely they led completely different lives or never existed at all. For example Gul'Dan wasn't the one who introduced the demons to the orcs but Ner'zhul in our Outlands. Still it's possible portals were built on this alternate Draenor, but Garrosh probably prevented those portals from being built by coming in and uniting the clans. Still can check it out though. Zangermarsh is under the ocean though so doubt anything is there.

Um....I don't know if this means anything, but while scaling around SMV, I ran into this place, called the Black Altar of Xan'tish

....and I knew the bad void demon is called Xan so I thought it might be worth a try to give anyone an idea? I haven't done the whole steps with Gara yet, but maybe someone else who has can do it?

There's a orc lady floating in the middle of it, called um Morva Soultwister (she's a rare)....So um...someone can try that? I have pictures!!

I looked around that alter myself. Found it weird that it's called the Black alter of Xan'tish, considering Xan'tish is a troll snake vendor in Orgrimmar.

Q_Q So many runs, the only time it ever dropped for me was when I was actually running it as a raid back in BC. Lost it to a rogue.

UPDATE: Alright, now this may or may not be a shot in the dark, but I noticed something that stands out mainly due to the fact that I kept feeling as if Shattrath was that place that we should head to. Look at this picture, the icon on the stone is the same shape as the platform on the lake by Shattrath thats guarded by those eye-demons that basically kill you the second they see you. I'm suspicious.:

So I went to where I pointed out before....nothing but a pissed off level 102 rare Shadowflame Demon.....

Edit: I've got one more place in Shattrath that I want to check, it has the same symbol on the map more or less, northernmost part of Talador, over some water.
