There's a chance we'll see them ease up on class restrictions for gnomes. Gnome Hunter is probably one of the more likely combinations.

I didn't expect that out of the interview. Now it's just a matter of when they'll do it, most likely Soon(TM).

I'd really have a problem. Should I racechange Myrrmi to gnome, or should I make a new gnome hunter alt I probably won't play as much as she'd deserve to?
I love Myrrmi as a dwarf, with her long braid and bear (I have a long braid too, Myrrmi is a bit like a "mirror me", only much more badass), and I love dwarves in general, they're my fav fantasy race.
But then... a gnome engi freak... but then... Myrrmi already is a dwarven engi freak, no need to be a gnome... but then... gnomes! Aaaagh!

Oh don't be so negative. There's absolutely no reason for a gnome to not be able to be a hunter. If a gnome can be a tanking warrior and tank Onyxia/dragons, there's no reason they can't be hunters. It's not like hunter is a special snowflake class with only a select few races can become one, literally everyone but gnomes can, so I think its about time.

Somehow goblins of all races became freaking shamans. If they can somehow force the elements to obey their commands I see no reason why gnomes cannot be hunters. After all, gnomes are well known for their engineering capabilities, why wouldn't they have taught themselves how to maybe use some of those guns they're crafting? Not to mention, you don't exactly have to be some sort of night elf hippy to be able to make buddies with animals. Not all hunters are super bonded to their pets and value them as an equal; for some hunters the pets are a tool or a means to an end and that's okay. Plus, with the SV and MM 100 talent that gives you a buff based on not having a pet out, I see no reason for gnome hunters not to be a thing at this point. Every other Alliance race has it figured out, I'm sure their dwarf buddies can lend them a hand.

Well they came up with a lore reason why gobbos got to be shamans. Gobbos bargain and force the elements to do what they want, to be short.

Hence why I said if they can somehow force. I knew that was how they added it for lore. I still don't think it makes all that much sense, but eh. That's also a different discussion and not on topic.

Point being, there's not a whole lot of reasons for gnomes not to be hunters (now if we were talking about gnome druids I'd say hell no because their lore and general nature don't suit such a class), but gnomes as hunters makes a lot of sense.

Plus, I've been dying for a gnome hunter ever since I got the gnomeragon toy thing that lets you transform into a gnome. xD I love the idea of a gnome hunter and having pets that look huge!

Two possible reasons, both could work in parallel. First, gnomes are always engineering new guns, it's natural some would want to try them out. The lore would work best with the original 'feel' of marksman best. It could even be a good opportunity to add the Ulduar gun model with all the gears.

Second, emancipated voodoo gnomes. We've seen one group of independent voodoo gnomes, in the bone wastes on Outland. I expect they escaped from the trolls shortly after the dark portal first opened 30ish in game years ago. With the repeated falls of Zul'Gurub (and Zul'Aman), many of their gnome slaves have probably escaped and there should be tribes of them around Azeroth. Survival or even Beast Mastery would fit that lore. These gnomes wouldn't be all tinkery, but more savage or feral. Their npcs would be less of comic relief too. This could also explain some gnome priests (it does mine). The sudden appearance of the other gnome priests could be attributed to Mimiron teaching gnomes to use their latent repair-bot abilities to tap into holy energy as a power source.

Now how badass would It be if as a racial they could "tame" mechanical pets But I know that wouldn't happen.. Mostly because people would QQ even if it was all cosmetic and it didn't bring any actual advantages.

Would they really add a new class combination now? Surely this should of been done with the expac...else its gonna be one hell of a patch 0.o I wouldn't count on this anytime soon - they need to fix they current clusterfuck of bugs before they start adding new stuff imo.
