Is LFR too easy in WoD?
I feel that the LFR version of Highmaul is too easy and the jump in difficulty from it to Normal is too great. The difference between LFR and flex in MoP was much less. Wipes were possible in MoP LFR but I cant even imagine one happening now. Normal is now supposedly equal to what flex was then so why is the jump in difficulty so much more now? LFR could stand to be bumped up a bit in my opinion.
On a separate note, I have seen people saying that the abragator stones drop at a lower rate in LFR. Well, I have now done the first 3 bosses 2 times and I've gotten a total of 15 stones. Every boss has dropped at least one.

I've always seen LFR as a walkthrough for the raid. Just to get the ropes so it should not be too hard.

Well the first MoP one was super easy too and then they got harder so I think that's what is going to happen.

Pretty much this. We've only seen the first wing and everyone is still relatively undergeared. Mogushan palace was really easy compared to SoO (or even throne of thunder).cowmuflage wrote:Well the first MoP one was super easy too and then they got harder so I think that's what is going to happen.

Re: Is LFR too easy in WoD?
Also didn't Blizzard say LFR was going to be easier than heroics this time around? Pretty sure that was talked about at both Blizzcons and somewhere on the forums. It was gonna go something like this in terms of difficulty: Normal Dung > LFR > Heroic Dung > Normal Raid > Heroic Raid > Mythic Raid. Plus LFR is easy for a reason. It was never meant to be a challenge. It was just to show off the raid to people who can't do the normal/heroic/mythic raiding tiers. LFR doesn't even have tier drops anymore.
Mogushan was a walk in the park in LFR. O_o; Heck, all of MoP LFRs were super easy. Only one that had a couple bosses that could cause trip ups in the faceroll was SoO with Nazgrim and Garrosh. ToT only had one trip up boss and that was Durumu due to his 'maze', which didn't help that DBM turned down your particle effects and you couldn't see the maze.

Re: Is LFR too easy in WoD?
Maybe they did say that. I just feel that it's a mistake and it should at least be on the level of the Heroic dungeons which anyone can do. They haven't just toned down the mechanics this time around. They have removed them completely. Believe me, if someone like me with my skill level says LFR is too easy, you can bet it is.
Yes Mogushan was easy, but still not like this. I also object to the faceroll term. It's elitist and innacurate because there is nothing in the game that fits the definition.
I experienced wipes on most of the MoP LFR bosses. Durumu was the worst, I don't think I ever made it to the end of that fight because of the maze and playing on a laptop where the effects could be no higher than fair. in SoO, the worst one was the Spoils. Then Siegecrafter, Dark Shamans, Nazgrim and Garrosh. I remember wiping on Gara'jal and Spirit Kings in Mogushan as well. In ToT, I was in wipes on every boss but Megaera.
The only raiding I did outside of LFR in MoP was a couple of flex SoO where we never did more than the first wing. LFR was fun. In WoD, so far at least, it isn't. Then I get in a normal raid and it falls apart on the second boss because the jump in difficulty was so great that a lot of people were unprepared for it.

Re: Is LFR too easy in WoD?
I was in a group that had Flex SoO on farm and raided with them for a long time during MoP so when I say something was a faceroll, I'm not being an elitist so I'd appreciate it if you'd refrain from the insults, whether intended or not. LFR was cakewalk compared to Flex or even Normal. I've even done a few wings of SoO on normal and got the mount to prove it.

You can stand in stuff in the current LFR and not die.. I remember the wipes on trash on the 1st LFR in MOP. This LFR is a joke.. Not a single wipe, not even a single person died. I was in an out on the 1st wing in less then 20 min.cowmuflage wrote:Mogushan was pretty dang easy when I did it in LFR.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

And as stated many many times before...because you had good luck doesn't mean all others did.

Ask anyone on my server... Look around on the official forums. They all say the same thing. The current LFR is a joke. It's like comparing it to a 25 man heroic dungeon, scaled up. This is what a quick google gave me:Junrei wrote:And as stated many many times before...because you had good luck doesn't mean all others did.

Even my guild agrees that it's a joke.

Good for them. Statement still stands, just expands to everyone. My guild has said their experiences varied depending if they had competent people or utter morons in their groups. The official forums is also not the majority of the playerbase either. Just the loudest.

Re: Is LFR too easy in WoD?
just FYI the second wing is abit harder and I actually wiped on the third boss in it last night so it seems the difficulty will go up.
I would be more concerned that two bosses weren't dropping loot (since hotfixed) which means I wasted coins and a lockout >< le sigh.

Considering my guild is a combination of 3 guilds using the Greenwall addon and has more than 400 people in one guild, there's going to be different experiences. It doesn't mean someone has the worst luck all the time. You need to accept and respect that just because you have better luck than some sometimes, not everyone does and the experiences and opinions on difficulty vary.
I personally think this LFR is only slightly easier but we haven't seen the full thing, but LFR is supposed to be easy. Always has been. If you want a challenge, you got actual raids to do.

I've only been in LFR once.. The entire server, and literally everyone I ask isn't me having good or bad luck. But whatever, I'm done with you.Junrei wrote:Considering my guild is a combination of 3 guilds using the Greenwall addon and has more than 400 people in one guild, there's going to be different experiences. I doubt you've polled every single person on your server BUT that's not the point.
Point is...LFR is not supposed to be a challenge. It's sight seeing. It is what it is. You want a challenge? You have Normal, Heroic, and Mythic you can do.
