Echo Hunter pet can fly off ground to attack :O

Hey all! Hope you're enjoying Garrisons of Draenor!

So yeah my Echo Hunter just flew after Goriona in Dragon Soul.

So I took it back to my garrison and sent it after the condors, and there it went flying up after it. Is this known? I did a search but didn't come up with anything.

O_o Was it from Blink Strike, possibly? I know that made my rhino fly sometimes (but then gravity would remind it that had no wings and it would slowly blink back towards the ground).

If not, that's a pretty amazing find!

I noticed that a little while ago with a Rylack I had tamed out of Spires how it flew up to meet the mob.

just tamed one myself, im using murderer of crows aswell, its just flying up to the ones in the sky :O
aswell as if you command it to stay mid battle it will still be in the sky. its def not blink strike
this is awesome! XD

now all we need is people to not report this in to blizz and have our unique bats XD

We had another beast on the beta that was like that. I forget which (rylak?). It was eventually fixed.

It's a cool effect but it will need to be reported. They'll notice eventually anyway, but we don't hide things on this forum. Plus we do have Blizzard reps visiting regularly so if it's posted here then it's no secret

Exactly. I honestly wasn't sure what the best "official" method of reporting this would be (ticket, forum etc) plus wanted to check if it was a known thing or not. It is neat, would be cool if they could make it a thing. It feels good to watch a winged pet not be bound to the ground, but alas, gameplay implications!

If they could at least let them fly after us on flying mounts that would be something nice But given the lack of flying on Draenor currently I doubt it'd be a priority even if they could do it.

As for the bug report, I pointed Mr Feasel at this thread at least. You could otherwise just report it on the official bug forums, and even provide a link to here if it makes it easier.

though blizz should keep some fun for hunters atleast, like bring eyes of beast but change it in general,useless glyph maby.

tho they take out most of the fun in general XD

I hope they leave it the way it is. Then I wouldn't have to switch specs from BM to SV in fights where the mob/boss rises into the air. I'd just have to switch pets. It would be great.

welp if they end up making it keep able, they should make a rule like use it for boss fights solo or stuff thats 2 high for us to attack n such or something? ifnot penalty?

it would be nice to keep a unique acting pet tbh
