I've had Deathly since... god, at least 2006, when I first started WoW; she was my first character (if her name wasn't any giveaway >___>) and my first dive into WoW at the age of 11. I'm kind of glad I don't really remember anything from back then, I was probably an irritable terror to the community at that age, but over the years of leveling her through BC, WoTLK, Cata, and Pandaria, I've got a lot of memories and achievements on her, and met many friends too -- some that have stopped playing because of money problems or losing interest, some that I've had falling out with because of one reason or another, etc.
It's been a long time coming that I've wanted to change her name, since I'm no longer as much of a Harry Potter fanatic as I was back then (I still love it, just not like I did back then 
) and I was waffling over it for a long while before I finally decided to buck up and let go of the sentiment I had for the name, even though it'd been a part of her for so long. I, thankfully, had an alt that had the name she now owns (equal R.I.P to that shammy, I'll probably never get to 60 on another one again) (leveling spellcasters is the bane of my life) and finally made the switch.
All in all, I'm glad that I got a new, better name for her. Her old one was from a time long gone (not to mention misspelled 
) and I like her new name far better than what she had, honestly.
