I gened up a new dream dragon (which I finally found today) with the new genes instead of the ones I'd intended. I'm now starting to worry that it may have been an impulse mistake.

Oh and while I'm ranting about that new dream dragon... Some people are just jerk hats. I know the person ripped me off on the price because they knew how much I wanted it. The tiger/seraph/basic that she was to begin with wasn't worth 100kT. But then again, I have that kind of luck lately when dealing with the people who own the dragons I want. 90% of the time they are complete and total d-bags. -.-

Also, I'm seriously going to start flipping tables if I have to wait much longer for two accents I ordered. I just think that once you ask for payments for an accent you best be putting in the damn order!!! Three weeks for one and counting. The other has been less than a week. But it was ordered. Myself and the accent maker are both antsy waiting for it to come back. WTH FR?!? Get your shit together. Oh, and another set of accents I would like to order are made by a person I swore I'd never do business with again. (See previous statement about my luck lately). I decide to give it a go, because I tend to be a forgiving person like that and willing to give others another chance. So, I shoot the person a very nice email inquiring about whether or not they have any copies left or if I may be added to a future ping list if they decide to reprint, etc. Then I get an email reply that they accidentally deleted my mail. Ok... So I copy my mail and send again. I get another reply that they managed to read my email before accidentally deleting this time and will add me to the future ping list. Not to quote Star Wars, but 'I have a bad feeling about this...' /sigh

The third leg would be positioned behind the left front leg in that stance, thus you can't see it.

Given the thickness of their legs though, it wouldn't even be possible for it to be completely hidden by the front leg. There would at least be a hint of it sticking out, but nope.

And, well, thanks to Tarn making a thread about it on FR, someone else pointed out that male Tundras and Mirrors have a missing front leg too.



The Tundra might be able to get away with it since the toes sticking out at the front are part of the back leg, meaning the front leg is just kinda tucked behind the other. But the Mirror has no excuses, it is just outright NOT THERE. You can see the shoulder of it and everything, but then the leg itself just vanishes.

At least female Snappers have a hint of their back leg in there, the one we can't see properly, but the male's is nowhere to be found.

Interesting way to RP a dragon however if they were in the persons thoughts to be missing a leg on that side via complications during their time in their egg or a unfortunate event

The male mirror one is especially disturbing. I'm having trouble seeing the toes on the male tundra as the backfoot because my brain can't seem to process that as a remotely comfortable pose. To me that's the front leg and he's really missing his back left leg.

Yeah that's how I've always seen Tundra males sitting, is their front toes (fingers?) are visible and the left back leg sort of is, even though the foot part is missing.



Like this, I thought the back foot's toes were the front leg when in fact there's only one front leg and the back left leg looks really... uncomfortably placed to be sitting on.

It bugs me now that I see the leg like that, like... what is that Tundra trying to accomplish? Is he giving someone the ol' razzle dazzle??

I can't even sit like what he's doing normally, and this is coming from someone who sits cross-legged in a computer chair a good portion of the day.

I made a quick sketch of how I think the legs could work. I scribbled these at 2am while watching a stream so forgive my anatomical errors

With tundra males I also thought that the toes sticking out were part of the hind foot, but there's a line in the fur that might suggest that it is the arm and that the leg goes behind it. The leg still looks awkwardly stretched however.


And this is how I think the mirror's arm and snapper's leg could work
