PTR Beasts/Pets Info ~ 6.2

The Wandering Isle quests are now fixed, which meant I could test out the quilen and the water strider in the Pandaren starting zone. As expected they're both tameable at level 10+ now, which is effectively the first time ever they've been tameable (unless that crazy person who reached 90 on the island was a hunter?).

New fel skin for the boar model in the database!

Is it on a wild beast that can be tamed? I'm not sure yet. Can anyone find it?



There's also a mount version. Will post that to the mounts thread as soon as I get shots.

His toon, who is now level 100, is a shaman. I could have sworn I read somewhere he was making a neutral hunter but don't quote me on that. No testing it I'm afraid.

I had a look around but couldn't spot a fel piggy to tame. The wild skin has been assigned to a morph ID in the client database though, which basically means someone intends to use it somewhere. Probably on the tier armour summon, but hopefully on a wild pig too.

I'm sure we're getting at least one tameable fel pig. In the very least, they'll give that skin to the summoned Hellboar from the BM 4 piece tier bonus, if they haven't already.

But yeah, out of all of these creatures, it surprises me that we haven't seen a fel Corehound yet that uses the new model.

But yeah, a green corehound and a fel ravanger would have been pretty darn cool in Tanann. Who knows, we are still getting news skins, a few new ones may still show up. Fingers X'ed

There's a database candidate for a tameable beast using the new felboar look:

I haven't seen it in the game yet, though. Either I've missed it, or it's phased, or it didn't quite make this build (quite likely).

In other news, the Keravnos Scouts are still showing up in the Iron Front area using detect beasts. They appear to be underground. Still not sure if this is a bug or there's a hidden cavern down there. I can't find an entrance anywhere. Any ideas??

Wow. Now I like that pig. I'm tempted to make some room in my stable for one of those guys, even though my piggy needs are already taken care of by Truffle, the armored boar I rescued from those nasty Alliance up in Storm Peaks back in LK before he became untameable.

I found it on live and with a little Eagle Eye sorcery, was able to see it. Its under the road, along with some of those hydra eggs.

For lols, I checked him out on PTR. You can target AND attack him, and he attacks back lol. He is tameable and might pop up for a second to say Hi. He evade bugs a lot though. If he stays till live, I'm gonna tame him as a rescue

I had managed to pull it out of the ground too but never long enough to beast lore.
