That's... just a wasp... They've been tameable for years.

He means the red circle spell effect around the wasp's legs, which appears to be a unique visual effect. I think in another thread he mentioned it expires on death, though.

It's still cool if it lasts while the pet remains alive. Does it go away if you dismiss the pet as well, though? If so it's unfortunately not so much use

I wasn't aware of this particular pet appearance. Do we have a running list of pets that have these kind of buffs that stay after taming?
