Warcraft Movie Comic-Con Footage

Unread post by AdamSavage »

"Spoilers ahead! Keep in mind this isn't high quality video." Seems WoD is a extension of the movie, or the other way around.

I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

ROFL.. who knew there were nerd/geek hipsters!

I loved the footage. It definitely has a WoD feel to it. I can hardly wait to see it once all the rendering is done. This is one of my more anticipated upcoming films.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:

Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

I know it's more about Orcs and humans, but I really want to see Trolls in this at least. Other than that, I can't wait for this film.

I'm more excited about this movie than I have ever been about any movie ever.

i'm pretty burnt out on Orcs Vrs humans. ( also i am still recovering from the insanity of the last hobbit movie so i am pretty wary of cgi at the moment.) :P but i am not going to shun it or anything. They obviously put a ton of work into this and I love how Drakka and Gul'dan look so i will give it a chance for sure. I just hope i will get to see more from the other races as well. so long as they don't dive head first into the "impossible cgi moves" pool, I think i will enjoy this movie.
unless the reviews are stunning i don't see myself buying a movie ticket right out of the gate but i look forward to seeing how things go down. not really hyped but certainly interested. glad SOMEONE finally gave us some meat to chew on instead of these super secret tidbits left over from exclusive con reveals we have been getting. Maybe now they will have to give us the HD version.

It's based of the first game right?

I'm already not interested... it's just one big computer. :geek:

Not sure why they spent all this time and money on fake-looking CGI when they could have just used real orcs instead... what a shame.

The bootleg footage is very, VERY poorly recorded. Plus it's early footage, the movie is still a long way off. Because of those two things I'm trying not to judge the actual movie from it. Otherwise I'm not sure I could bring myself to see it. Dialogue-wise it already sounds like cliche pulp fantasy. But much of it could be just trailer editing. Maybe I'm too harsh and there's probably a lot of editing to come. Having said that, I think if the movie turns out to be too true to the game then it will be a very bad thing. In the game the story is secondary to the gameplay; applying the same story and dialogue to a movie would make it wince-worthy. I hope they don't go that way.
