I like the Focus on Summoning newer demons option of the ones listed.

"Enslaving limitless of demons for permanent minionship" is too much of a warlock version of a hunter for my tastes.

I think he means it as that the green fire quest didn't give out much outside of playing Destro. I'm not sure what it changes for Affliction, but for Demo it was just turning Soul Fire and Hellfire green, and most notably turning Metamorphosis green. With it pretty much confirmed to being removed in Legion, it would only leave Demo with two spells turned green. They did say they want Demo to go back to the vanilla and TBC theme where it was about more powerful demons instead of turning into one that started with WotLK.

I don't think they will do anything with the codex outside of turning some stuff green. It is there for cosmetics only and not for power gain.

Well I have my doubts they'd change much of anything with green fire for the demo remake. They still have yet to fix the felfire effect for dread steeds on water or the glyphed version of the meta wings that still use the purple highlights.

I doubt they would add any extra functionality. If I took a stab maybe give demo locks some of spells look more like what we see the warlocks using in HellFire, or fel petal effects to their minions :P

The green fire isn't being removed, but Metamorphosis for Demo Locks is most likely. They didn't outright say it, but it is heavily implied when they mention Demo, and well with Demon Hunters having Metamorphosis in both specs (which btw has always been one of their skill), why would Demo Locks have it too?

Ok this all sounding like speculation still...theres no reason why two classes can't have the same ability right?

Idk lock and dk both have death coil or they used to but to me metamorphosis wasn't that great but also I'm wondering are we still gonna have demonic fury with no metamorphosis or what?

I honestly hope they make demo locks use charged versions of shadow bolt ( kinda of like they did when they had dark apotheosis ) and have a sort of kill command soulfire spell that does lots of dmg and buffs pet dmg done to target after it hits but has a long cast time and a considerable CD, also his pets should have some more CC like slow or something, this way if a player focuses on your pet you can soulfire his face and if the focuses on you just demonic leap or burning rush away and hit him with shadowbolts.... makes for an interesting PvP experience and a stable PvE rotation.

as for the green fire quest... I honestly hope they complete it and give us the option to choose what spell schools we want to be fel green a green souldrain would look epic... Kanrethad does it :P.

P.S. hoping that green fire quest for demo locks is letting us use fel colored versions of our pets ( ONLY for demo locks, as we have a better connection to our demons ). and I'm hoping that the grimoire of service makes our demon weaker and lets us have 2 permanently....

I like the idea of Demonic fury powering up a powerful attack used by our demons, maybe a different attack for each demon.

What I'd really like however is for the Observer to be replaced by a Fel Stalker, or frankly any other type of demon that isn't an Observer. Not a pleasant view from behind, not at all.

Right. I don't enjoy staring at a demon butthole either. I have to be blunt about that one. :I

yea, the observer never made much sense anyway... maybe a void beast would have been more appropriate I mean how do you go from magic devouring demonic dog to floating butthole with eyes......

Also let us use pit lords like in the green fire quest... hey that would have been a nice alternative for us who spec demo and did the quest, let us summon a pit lord instead of a felguard, same abilities just visually different, true it is unrealistic that it would do so little dmg or be so small but still..... we have a giant multy eyed very intelligent flying butthole pet who is well mannered and smarter than any of our demons and does more dps than a large demon that was bred for war by the legion and wields two large two handed weapons..... so yea realism really isn't an issue here :3
