That happens sometimes. I get ninja'd constantly in those threads, but I always check back and reply to the person I should have been commenting on if so. ♥

Well, the day started off on a very depressing note. I made a high offer to someone for a Gen One Obsidian/Crimson dragon I'd been looking for and they took an entire week to think about it and let me know their answer. (Apparently they share their account with a friend? Which I didn't think was really within the rules, but whatever... and they were waiting for their friend to decide on whether or not they were too attached to said dragon). I got a response first thing this morning turning down my offer. </3 Oh well, I suppose I can convert the gems into lair expansions now?

EDIT: On a brighter note, I ended up getting a dragon from Syleye that was close to the same colors. *Huge hugs* Then another person I'd messaged long ago on Tumblr, finally responded to me as well, selling me a dragon with the same primary and secondary that I'm looking for. The tert wasn't as good as the dragon I wasn't able to acquire, but the girl was a six digit and was practically given to me. I'm so glad to know there are still really good people out there on FR and my day has definitely brightened! ♥

Oh sweet jesus. I went to look up how much skinks would cost to make the familiars (WOO! I hit level 7! Yeah, I'm slow, don't judge me. ><) and I think I just blinked like, super hard.

I've got two options. Either I save up for some Peregrine genes, (Ryou needs one ASAP, and so does Tsulong) or I save up for the Starfall Celebration because there's so many pretty skins and accents already submitted.

I had hopes to help ppl with their lair expansion.. and then they come with a new gene... and i still need 3 of my own.. "only" sitting on 100k atm.. i know i have around a million saturday or so but still...

i think there are plenty of treasure sinks in this game.. i really dont understand ppl who claims that there are not... why start a thread saying they want more treasure sinks

I'm seriously thinking of exalting most of my dragons and returning others, selling/giving away everything in my vault and quitting. This game has caused me nothing but grief for the majority of time I've played it, and I've wasted so much rl money on projects nobody else but me happens to like. I'm in tears right now because of a person who's trying to resell two of Terokk's babies while the third one that sold had her name changed to something stupid. I'm glad I decided to keep Reshad when I did, because he would've ended up like his sisters... I'm probably just going to exalt the rest of the hatchlings I have for sale because if I lower the price, that shithead will just grab them and resell them, too...

Hey Falcon, I know it's rough but that's why I absolutely stopped giving a damn what others liked and wanted. i breed for me and I they don't sell at the price i set then i exalt them on my own. You have lovely babies and I can tell you take a great deal of care to plan out your pairs. make yourself happy!

Agreed with Syleye... why does it matter what other people like or want? Collect and breed the dragons you want. And if others want them too then that's just a plus. It's a game, and you should play it the way that you find most enjoyable.

I don't even bother with breeding. Never really have. I'll maybe breed a few pairs once and awhile either for fodder or for fun, and throw their hatchlings up on the AH for 10k. But aside from naming them before I sell them, I could care less what happens to them. I love my dragons, but their hatchlings aren't mine anymore when I sell them, so the fact they'll get exalted or resold or whatever doesn't really bother me. I still got my money at any rate and they're just pixels.

Besides it is really hard these days to make much money in the dragon market and there are too many hatcheries as it is unless you can really differentiate yourself somehow, so you can't really take it personally if your hatchlings aren't popular or selling.

What I enjoy is collecting accents, familiars and apparel. I enjoy buying & dressing up dragons I like the look of, with no care to whether they will ever have a mate or whether or not they will fit in with my lair. When I play I don't ever wonder what other people think... I love when I get compliments but ultimately what matters is how I feel about the dragon. As for making money, leveling & exalting is my way; less stressful and less work than running a hatchery. I can just put on some music and grind away and maybe get some neat items along the way.

I'm sorry to hear you are leaving, Falcon. I really wish you'd reconsider or at least think on it for a day or two. I personally always adored your dragons. They are unique and lovely! But if the game is more stress than fun, then I wish you the best. Just know I'll always be here if you ever need anything or decide to come back. /much love

Oh Falcon im sorry to hear you feel that way

I found that the joy to me lies in just doing what i think is fun. Its a game and it SHOULD be fun. Im truly sorry that the game have made you feel the way you do. I personally find your dragons very stunning and as others have said it shows that you have put a great deal of heart into your pairs.

Its hard not to care about what other ppl are thinking .. I do too .. but most of the time i breed and gene the dragons i want because i really want to; and if the babies are exalted or resold (yup that happens to me alot too) then i try not to care to much even though sometimes it can be hard.

Take a day or two to reconsider... and if you need anything from me let me know.

WTB a search by generation feature under Library > Search. I'm home sick today, so I thought I would see if I could search for Gen One Obsidian/Crimsons. That was a mistake... 1105 pages of options that I have to narrow down. The worst thing is, you can't even mouse over them and see 'First Generation'. You physically have to click on them or open them in another window. Oh, and don't even get my started on weeding out the progens each registration period. If you thought the registrations were close together now... They were really bad back when the site first opened.
