Not saying they *should* be tameable, just that they fit the criterion. I would be less optimistic about, say, yaks, unless some appear on this continent or they can be shoehorned into another family. Same with pterodactyls unless some are added around the shorelines or something. Hopefully they will because that's one of the most wanted older families (though not so much my thing). Maybe they'll do it differently this time and make a liar of me, but it has seemed far less likely for the last couple of xpacs.
There actually are Yaks in at least one area of Highmountain.
I'd say that makes them a good candidate for one of the "new old families"!
Although if a few Pterodactyls were to randomly be added for the sake of having a "legitimate" reason to be tamable, I wouldn't object at all either

Thanks! I completely missed those! I should have picked a better example
oh man legion hype. hopefully we find out more at Blizzcon.
on a slightly off topic note....Hi it seems like its been forever but i actually made it back to the forums. not sure how active I will be but thought i'd say hi
I could see more hydras, since the naga have been known to keep them around as pets and guardians. I'd also really love them to maybe add snap dragons as an alternate warpstalker skin.
pretty sure i just saw a black bear with a new model when they previewed highmountain on the livestream. Was caught off guard and didn't catch a screenie of it- but keep an eye out!
sadly it had its butt to the cam.
From a hunter perspective, Blizzcon is pretty disappointing to me. The same moose model we've seen since the first trailer, and a bear. The rest is all demonic or humanoid.

Oh well..
Any pictures possible? At least we're getting a new bear model, then?
Sorry for the bad screencap, the streamer was...less than acceptable in seeing nice things. It's a yellow spider with rocky legs and butt. Face had glowing green eyes and no visible mouth.

Okay, so I tried to sneak a peek at some screenshots. Seems like we get new spider models (spindly-legged, no tarantulas, sadly; have hope for Highmountain, though):

Pretty cool, I guess. I wish we had tarantulas, to be honest. Those need an update.
But.. no mouth? So no real fangs? Just a typical spider head we've seen before?
Shame. I wish they had a little more obvious fangs like the Nerubian flying spiders.
Oh nice catch with that basilisk! I hadn't noticed it at all. Looks neat!
I'm glad for more spiders but a little sad they're not tarantulas, alas.
I'm sure we'll be seeing more creatures in the future too, they're not really going to be the focus at Blizzcon and they might not have the models all finished yet. Crossing my fingers for some cool native beasts.
