Hello again
Hi guys. I'm returning to WoW after a long break, and playing my hunter(s) again. I realized I missed the Petopia community and wanted to just say that, and say "hi"

Re: Hello again
I've missed you so so much! Petopia's been generally quiet, but still active all the same. It gets pretty loud once we know new stuff. We're watching the Legion stuff closely.

Re: Hello again
Missed you too Glad things are still alive, albeit quiet, around here. I missed you guys. The Legion stuff does indeed look interesting. Demon hunter will probably be alot of fun, and look completely bad-ass, and the idea of a melee hunter not being a joke amuses and intrigues me. I'll have to try it. I played a beastlord in Everquest II for a while, so it's not totally foreign, and I really like my beastlord even if I'm not playing her right now.

Re: Hello again
I wish the melee hunter was BM, but still. I'm glad they're really trying to make the hunter specs different cause lately they're....all the same save for a few abilities.

Thank you, Equeon
I'm glad to see things being changed up instead of cookie cutter hunters. The jury is still out on how I feel about rangers...I mean MM hunters lol. But, its an interesting option for those not attached to pets, I suppose. And I actually made an MM offspec for special occasions when a pet is a liability, much as it pained me to do so. Vehicle quests can be hell on a BM hunter!
And yeah, I've been debating myself which would have been better with the survival hunters as they will be in Legion. It kinda makes sense on a gut level that a melee hunter should have the exotic pets, like going against the enemy side by side, up close...maybe there would be a stronger bond? Meaning that exotics would be appropriate? I dunno. I suppose letting both specs have exotics would be ok, but then that takes away from a beastmaster's unique niche. Either way, I look forward to trying melee hunter. I made a hunter (female blood elf) that sort of looks like my beastlord from EQII (my beastlord is a wood elf) and has part of her name that I'll start when Legion comes out, so I get the full experience.
Oh hey! I think I heard somewhere that hunters either can or will be able to tame exotics at lvl 10?? Can that be true?

Re: Hello again
This is already in the game! I think this changed in early WoD, to make BM feel a little more unique and be able to tame all of those new rares from 5.1.Teigan wrote:Oh hey! I think I heard somewhere that hunters either can or will be able to tame exotics at lvl 10?? Can that be true?

Re: Hello again
Yeah, agreed totally. Still, willing to give a benefit of the doubt on this cause there's only so many things you can do with a hunter class.Teigan wrote:Thank you, Equeon

Re: Hello again
This means my baby tauren will be heading to Azuremyst. She just hit lvl 12. This should be interesting! That's really quite exciting that BM hunters no longer have to wait till lvl 69 to be BM hunters! Oh, the things I will tame!
