As a lover for using turtles as my hunter pets, im really happy about this new turtle.

Glad to see that turtle model finally make it in - it's quite amazing.

The 'Play Dead' ability is going to be a little bit awkward with it, though.

And the Ancient Widow still uses the Maexxna model. One these days I'm really expecting it to be replaced with the spider mount model (minus armor), it's such a perfect fit.

Macros are back in Legion, but the existing macro for finding an NPC's ID doesn't work there.

The following macro seems to work for me:

I just had to read up how LUA worked to create that, so sorry if there's any mistakes. It works for everything I've tested so far.

Soo excited for new Spirit Beast - I've been looking around and havnt seen anything yet - was taking flightpaths and using the kite from highmount to cover ground whilst spamming a target macro. I wonder if he will use a tracking process or something like Gara - ie quest. Maybe he will just be a rare(ish) tame? Ahhhh - too much to think about - but one thing I Know - it is really rough trying to scour all the lands - its big and hard to get around in spots. Oh well - Excite!!!!

Purple Mana Saber - sooo, seems like a couple spots of wild sabers - the light and dark variety. Then in the city there are more - and finally in Moongaurd (north) there are more. This is where I got the purple one. It seems the spawns rotate between the shades of colors - so I'm not sure if the purple can be found in all the other spots - one just hadn't spawned - or if it's just the Moongaurd ones that can spawn purple.

I also found a spot with blue crabs with the light markings on their claws but forgot to take a shot of one - think I like better than the orange ones. Still not sure if these are new or the same models found outside of legion?

Has anyone seen Bulvinkel in the game? I'm hoping it doesn't use that "spectral" type transparency where you can see polygons you shouldn't (like on many transparent spirit beasts so far). That's the main reason I was hoping Tortos would be a spirit beast, because she's opaque (and has a tanky model, and spirit beasts make decent tanks). Still, as a common spawn and non-exotic, it's a great model. Boss challenge tames are interesting too, though.

I'll have to stack my stables with Whirl Turtles and bats for dire beast (and stampede?). The guildies are going to "love" it.

Aha! I didn't realize the mana sabers in that area could spawn in different colours. I only saw them dark. I also didn't realize there were other areas where you could get the dark skin (aside from the rare who isn't tameable). I'm glad to see the purple one is available, anyway Thanks for all your work, you seem to be much better at finding them than I am!

I believe the crabs with light claws are just the original blue with blue markings from Cata. Of all the crabs I've checked there's only one that I've found with a new appearance, and that's the Spikebacked Scuttler in the north of Azsuna. Its a combination of red skin underneath with blue skin over, like so:



Shem is familiar with the crab skin mixing that I think Jeremy originally came up with, and I think he's going to pass it on to other designers and maybe we'll see more appear yet. Cross fingers

so I found this area in Suramar - pretty cool - wolf area!!
Darker color wolf is here and can be tamed- but there's a named mob too - which I think is using that light colored draenor wolf skin - he can't be tamed right now

Humm is it just me or should the turtle and mana sabre be grouped in a single group called Mana Beast/Familiar?

I could see Phoenix can be part of this family as well.

Oh I missed the named frost wolf, but saw all the grey wolves there.

It's possible Bullvinkel isn't in yet (I hope he comes with a spectral squirrel friend ).

I'm also starting to wonder if he might be a random proc from archaeology, the same way the basilisks are from mining, because the spectral mount is from archae. Probably not, but it's a possibility.

just wanted to throw out the nightmare wasp skin - area is Deadroot in Val'sharah - couldn't remember if they were in more spots or not but wanted to give you at least one

found silver crab skin - was on the shore of emerald druid place - I've seen I think all the cata crab skins now. A lot of places that have not been populated with mobs yet also I noticed (traversed all of the shorelines in Legion).
