I was wondering if there was a current list of tameable pets with the "sound on click" attribute? I just randomly stumbled across the Spider Mite from Pandaria which has spider noises on prod - I couldn't see a way to accurately filter for this on a Petopia search.
So I found on Wowhead that it has a category under sound for "NPC Greeting" (i.e. when you click it). I'm going on the assumption that if a pet has this attribute, and is tameable, then it should have a sound on click.
I've not yet done any testing on this but I thought it might be useful to others trying to find a pet with a little more... flare?
I've not figured out a way to manipulate a wowhead search to give me tameable pets that have "sound on click" so there's still going to be some leg work involved however here's a "starter for 10": - http://www.wowhead.com/sounds/npc-greet ... :clickable
To expand - within that list you can easily filter further to a specific "species" to allow you to identify specific pets that have clickable audio.
For this example I've filtered by "Crab" by typing that into the filter field. This gives 1 result. Clicking on this gives a list of all creatures that have this sound linked to them. You can filter this list to "beast" to clear any obviously non-tameable items from the list.
This leaves 2 results: -
So here we have the Spider Mite from Pandaria and the two crabs mentioned in the previous update.
All make sound on click
I know it's hard to prove with a picture lol - you'll just have to take my word for it.
Granted this is not conclusive, but from the 3 pets tames all have "NPC Greetings".

Excellent work however all three were already known about and are on the Vocal On Clicks thread you already linked. The spider and shore crab are on the first post while the moonshell crap is on page four.
If you'd like feel free to create a new thread in that sub section.
I would if I wasn't still working the pets by color. Actually. I could do both I guess. Unless you want too of course.
The pets I've checked so far were neutral - which makes it easier to confirm if they have sound on click or not. Hostile mobs however will not "greet" your click - so I just ran a test on http://www.wowhead.com/npc=59747/thunderfist-matriarch
I confirm that this pet, when tamed, does grunt at you
(On a nice note, the babies do not become hostile when you tame their mother - I'm sure they'll survive alone! :O)
