Does anyone know if the Fluxfire Feline is going to be tamable for hunters at some point? I'm a kitty person..it would be cool for my gnome hunter. :D

There's been no sign of it. But it may never be tameable, as this is how it looks when it's large:

The definition is no worse than some of the ones that are tameable (well, the chicken) but it probably looks a bit weirder when enlarged, mainly the badly bent cogs on its legs. The bear is even worse and more obviously distorted:

These things aren't obvious when the models are at their intended size, but when they're large they look like they're wearing onesies with mechanical prints.

The above comments are my guesses and not inside knowledge. For all I know they could set them tameable in the next build ;)

Why not keep them small? Not mini pet size of course but maybe slightly smaller then the demon dogs. Post tame they're quite small and if the glyph of lesser proportion could be turned into a visual buff spell they could be a little smaller still.
I, and this is only speaking for myself, don't feel mechs should be huge anyway. I feel they should be 25-35% smaller or more to a tamed beast.
Frankly the gnome starting bunny kind of creeped me out with how big it was.

The problem with both the cat and bear is that they are very small - even smaller than porcupines.

FWIW it does appear they tested them...

http://legion.wowhead.com/npc=103628/test-mecha-cat
http://legion.wowhead.com/npc=103627/test-mecha-bear

and even the rocket chicken

http://legion.wowhead.com/npc=103625/te ... et-chicken

Although these may not be related to mech tames since those exist in the DB now.

Yeah the mini pets are really tiny.
But when becoming a pet the increase in size distorts them.
If the Fluxfire was the size of a tamed beast cat then yeah it's going too look really really bad as Wain showed.
But if it was say the size of a demon dog or slightly smaller would that past muster on the body conformation when increase.

Sorry if I'm not making sense. Fighting a migraine still.

Aye, Quiv, those were mentioned a few pages back. They may have been a concept idea that never came through or perhaps something for the future :). However, there are many, many mobs (both Hunter Pets and general mobs) that have Test NPCs in the database.

I'd love a mechanical cat. Who knows? I never get my hopes too high though, but depending on how popular mechanical pets become or something... Maybe they won't feel its a total waste of time to create one from scratch at a later date? At least when it comes to popular pet types like cats.
