Non-gnome/goblin Hunters Taming Mechanicals

I know that to do this, you need a specific item. And I know at last check, people were still trying to find how to get the coins(?) for it.

Any news on this from Beta folks? I don't particularly want to race-change Kura, and there's some mechanicals that I have an eye on.

It is believed that the coins are extremely rare. People have gotten them from dungeons or hard-difficulty worlf quests, but I have only seen a few whom have been luck enough to get one.

I sincerely hope this is just a beta /ptr bug and not intended to be that rare. Has it been reported or?

Some have found it, as I said. But seeing as each recipe only requires one coin, I think it is meant to be rare.

A present, Curious Coin is a random drop from a number of sources.
Some confirmed sources include:

Emissary cache, from completing 4 World Quests
Treasure chests in the Broken Isles
Mythic+ Challenger's Cache
Heroic and Mythic dungeon bosses
Rare spawns in the Broken Isles

At least rare spawns are part of the drop rate. .... that unfortunately will make them heavily camped, but it's *something*.

It depends on the rares. Many only reward loot for the first time you kill them on a character. Others, like those in Tanaan, are daily.

Oh good. If that's the case, I hope that whether the coins can or can't drop rfom the non-dailies (it'd be nice if they could but), they *can* drop from the dailies. I'd hate to think that not getting them on your 'only go-around chance' would bar te chance of getting a coin from rares for folks like me who can't do dungeons/raids.
