Troll Druid Forms

Hehe, I honestly can't see what people don't like about them, but personal preference is personal preference.

They couldn't have come out better to me, this is just what I was hoping they'd look like. ^^

It's just that they're so bright. Even the brighter skins of Nelf come out as a bit dim, and I think that's great. Neon bears... Not so much.

Hmm, I suppose I just associate Trolls with vivid, tribal colours and war paint. I prefer the high saturation on the bears opposed to the muted colours on the cats so far.

Trolls make me think of bright, stylized tiki voodoo. That's why I think these bears are so fitting.

Those are terrible. Given what we've seen of Cat and Bear forms, my interest in playing a Troll Druid is rapidly waning.

This, and I've wanted to play a troll druid for years since trolls are my favorite race and druids my favorite class.

Oh well, I can always model edit if those end up being the final forms...

Well, never been much of a fan on bright colours, but these forms they... Just don't make sense. Natural selection would take care of bears like that rapidly. For starters, the tusks prevent them from biting properly. Second, the colours make them visible from an incredible range.

In general I'm not a bright colour person either, but I do love it when it comes to stuff like this.

As for natural selection, well...these aren't bears and cats that have been born in the wild. They're druid forms, so I don't really associate them with being beasts that have evolved and survived.

Also, when I think of Trolls I don't think of dull, dreary colours. For natural earthy tones there's still the Tauren. :3

I like the bears they look better to me than the cats - I'm sorry but I detest the cats they look way weird with their google eyes and their busy eyebrows - In general I really like the worgen forms so much more

Saturo... It IS warcraft... Orcs... UNDEAD... GIANT F*CKING DRAGON ASPECTS that can turn into ELVES WITH HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!! No complaints about natural selection or other things about the real world with these bears/cats... Also, Blah, I dislike the bears, but I ADORE those cats.

Many of the night elf bears are pinkish.

Course, I'm not a huge fan of that either....

I don't mind the wacky troll colors going into their forms; I just expected....more of a naturalistic base.

For me only the blue bear passes and it's not that it's bright as it looks fine tbh, to an extent. But the fact the other two look well.. to forced to be troll skin color. Instead of just being hair colored, they're skin colored, when tbh it shouldn't work that way as well even Tauren fur color doesn't = exact fur tone for bear forms.

As with the cat forms, the bear forms are just... bleh.

Mean there's a murloc. Said murloc is green. Said murloc don't look diseased. Said murloc is BRIGHTLY COLORED TOO like they want the troll cat/bear forms to be.

So yeah how can murloc be win but coloration for troll cat/bear forms be fail?


and I never had a problem with drood forms really until now. Not even pinkbear for nelves.

Are me and Veph the Only ones that like these new models? hehe And looking further into the Bears, they seem decent enough for me, especially seeing as I'll never tank on my Durid.

Has anyone ever heard of the artist Shag? He does a lot of tiki style artwork, and that stylization is again what I think of with Trolls.

In a BG I would target them first for sure though.. it just seems like they would stand out so well that it would be very tempting. o_O

I really love that tiki art, thanks for showing it! Such a nice style and use of color. You have me agreeing that bright colors really do suit Trolls. I think bright paint and ornaments/fetishes would have worked very well, I just find it a bit much for the beast forms to have such a clash of bright hair and bright fur. Blizz might as well put a frilly fabric around their neck and paint on a red nose, as bear form seems as much like clowns as the cats! I do like the eyes of the bears here, they have a bit of a half-lidded "don't mess with me" look to them. I'm very glad they don't have eyebrows. I hope they'll still trim down the cat eyebrows. >_<

I think the colors suit the trolls, but I'm personally not fond of those types of colors. I'm much more into the earthy colors of the tauren and such. Even the darker colors of the night elf models are appealing to me (in fact my druid is a purple kitty). But these are just bright as crap. I suppose after a while I'd get used to them, though. I'd probably end up going with some of the more muted tones, like the gray skin/white mane or white skin/dark blue mane.

its rapidly looking like any troll druid i play will have to have white hair.personal when i think tiki i think of earthy tones and bluegreens like the local beaches.not neon...
